Atomic Toybox Offering Exclusive GPK Pins at SDCC

With this year’s San Diego Comic Con right around the corner, companies are quickly announcing all their show exclusives. Atomic Toybox will once again continue their tradition of offering exclusive Garbage Pail Kids enamel  pins. The company will be offering four new glow in the dark pins; Adam Bomb, Adam Boom, Brony Tony, and Horse Pie Paul. Each pin comes on their own backing card and will be limited to /200 each. Each purchase also will include an officially licensed GPK promo card, Packrat Pete. Pins can be purchased at the Atomic Toybox booth (#3921) for $14.99 each. They will also have previously released GPK merchandise at their booth for sale during the show. Any leftovers after the show will be available for purchased on their website.

FYE Offering Exclusive Box for Upcoming GPK Tarot Set

FYE announced they are offering an exclusive box art for the upcoming Garbage Pail Kids Tarot Deck and Guidebook. The set and book are being published by Insight Editions. Artwork on the cards was done by artist Miran Kim. The set has been available other places for preorder for a few months now, but collectors now have the chance to preorder this exclusive box set from FYE. The set can be preordered now from FYE’s website for $24.99. The deck and guidebook is scheduled to be released in 7/21/22.

ToyNK Offering Exclusive GPK Sticker at SDCC

ToyNK’s San Diego Comic Con exclusives have been announced, and once again the company has a Garbage Pail Kids promotion. Collectors purchasing the GPK Playing Card Deck also get to choose either an Adam Bomb or Hot Scott sticker. The deck and sticker can be purchased for $15 at their booth, (#3921). Each exclusive sticker is limited to 1000 copies. The playing card deck was originally launched two years ago. The company is also one of the participating booths in the Topps GPK Trading Card Scavenger Hunt.

GPK Blacklight Silkscreen Posters to be Available at SDCC

GPK artist Joe Simko announced on his social channels today new Garbage Pail Kids Blacklight Silkscreen Posters that will be available to purchase at this year’s San Diego Comic Con. Simko did the artwork for the posters that measure 24” x 18” and will be available in two colors, Bubblegum Pink and Snot Green. Each poster will be limited to 150 copies, and will be signed and numbered by Simko. The posters will be available at the Atomic Toybox booth (#3921). Pricing is not yet available. Simko will also be appearing at the Atomic Toybox booth Fri. & Sat. from 11:00-11:30. Simko also teased there will be more exclusive GPK items at the booth during the show.

Dynamite Comics Madballs vs. Garbage Pail Kids Issue #3 Available for Preorder

Dynamite Comics has released information for issue #3 of the Madballs vs. Garbage Pail Kids comic. The comic is written by Sholly Fisch and illustrated by Jason Crosby. Like the previous issues, there are three cover variations, one by Joe Simko, another by Crosby, and a third trading card team up cover. Also like the first two issues, there will be a number of variations of those covers available. So far all three covers are available in a virgin variant, while the Simko and Crosby covers are available in B&W variants. This issue is advertised to have, “This issue: ”Block Busted”- ”Disorder in the Court-” and two (!) Puzzle Pages!” The comics are available to preorder, or will be soon, wherever you purchase comics. Issue #3 is set to hit the shelves on 9/14/22.

USAopoly Offering Garbage Pail Kids Gaming Card Sleeves

Do you play Pokémon and collect GPKs? If so USAopoly has the product for you. Available for preorder now are the Garbage Pail Kids Card Sleeves. Each pack contains 100 card sleeves that feature Adam Bomb on one side of the sleeve. These are the heavy duty tight fitting card sleeves that are used by Pokémon or Magic gamers to keep their card decks protected during game play. Each deck looks to cost $11.99 and is available at online retailers who carry products from USAopoly. The sleeves are expected to be released in late June/early July.

GPK Nation Set to Offer GPK Dead Bomb Pin Mashup

GPKNation continues going strong offering new officially licensed Garbage Pail Kids coins, pins, and more on a weekly basis. They announced today a new pin featuring brand new artwork from artist Neil Camera. The Dead Bomb pin is a GPK mashup of Dead Ted and Adam Bomb. The new pin will be limited to 50 copies. Each pin comes autographed from the artist, and with a matching autographed card. The company has not announced a release date yet for the pin. Be sure to follow their Facebook  group for release date details.

The company is also holding a special surprise drop today for a new Reese Pieces pin. The pin is limited to 50 copies and will cost $12.99 per pin. The pin goes on sale today, 6/3 at 6:00 PM EST. The pin can be purchased at the GPKNation website.

Dynamite Comics Madballs vs. Garbage Pail Kids Issue #2 Available for Preorder

The battle continues! Issue #2 of the Dynamite Comics Madballs vs GPK series is now available to preorder from wherever you get your comics. Once again there are three different cover variants one done by Joe Simko, one by Jason Crosby, and another trading card variant featuring Oculus Orbus and Starrin’ Darren. There also seems to be a virgin Joe Simko cover versions available to sale as well. The issue was written by Sholly Fisch and illustrated by Jason Crosby. This issue is advertised as having, “This issue: “”BAND SLAMMED””, “”PYRAMID SCHEME”” (a Puzzle page!), “”MAD(BALL) SCIENCE””, and “”MAKE YOUR OWN MADBALL”” (an activity page!)” The comics is set to be released August 17, 2022.


Garbage Pail Kids Origins Comic Teased at Licensing Expo

Topps is once again attending this week’s Global Licensing Expo in Las Vegas. Their focus is completely on Garbage Pail Kids, trying to lure new companies to produce licensed GPK products. On this year’s booth are cover images for a new upcoming GPK comic. Garbage Pail Kids Origins is the brainchild of artist Jeff Zapata. Jeff was the art director over GPK during the ANS days. For years Jeff has shared artwork and story ideas online for origin stories from many popular Garbage Pail Kids. His dream is finally becoming reality in this new comic series from Dynamite comics. Jeff teased on his Facebook account that the comic would be released this November. No other information is available yet on the comic.

GetAGrip Skateboards Set to Launch GPK Character Deck 4: Barf-A-Rama

GetAGrip Skateboards is back with all the body fluids you can handle. They are set to launch their newest Garbage Pail Kids skateboard deck, Character Deck 4: Barf-A-Rama. The new deck features the artwork of Rory McQueen. Each deck will come with a triptych card featuring the same deck artwork, one random character grip tape, and an exclusive barf bag. The decks will be hand numbered and limited to 200 copies. The decks can be purchased starting tomorrow, 5/13/22, at 1:00 PM EST at GetAGrip’s website.
