It’s another week and another online political GPK set. Today Topps launched Garbage Pail Kids Disg-Race to the White House Set 5 Presidential Nicknames. The 10 card set features 5 new pieces available in a/b versions. The artwork for the new was done by Neil Camera (24-26, 28), and Chris Meeks (27). Meeks, a veteran GPK sketch artist, made his final card debut in Set 4 with the Jill Biden card. The set is available for $19.99 each or in a lot of 10 for $219.99. Topps Reveals Print Run for GPK Valenslime’s Day Video Series Set 2

Late last week sales for the second online Garbage Pail Kids series focused on the animated short videos ended. Topps has revealed the print run for GPK Valenslime’s Day Video Series Sticker Set 2. After being on sale for 30 days the set sold a total of 492 copies. This is down just a bit from the first video series set that was released in January. Topps is due for another monthly video release. Can a St. Patty’s Day release be coming this week?

After another big voting Tuesday this week, Topps is back with another installment in Garbage Pail Kids political cards. Today Topps launched GPK Disc-Race to the White House Set 4 March Mayhem. The 12 card set features 6 new paintings with a/b versions. Numbering for the set picks up with set 3 left off. The artwork for the cards were done by David Gross (#19-#21), and Neil Camera (#18 & #23), and Chris Meeks (#22). Each set is available for $24.99 or in a lot of 10 for $224.99. Topps Reveals Print Run of GPK Disg-Race to the White House Set 3 Super Tuesday

Sales of online political Garbage Pail Kids sets remain at record levels. Today Topps revealed the print run for GPK Disg-Race to the White House Set 3 Super Tuesday. The set sold a total of 1,689 copies. This is a few sets higher than set 2, and becomes the second highest selling online GPK set ever. Topps has to be thrilled with sales of the first sets in the series. Expect to see more political cards very soon.

Topps Reveals Print Run for GPK Late to School Video Series Sticker Set #1

Once again Topps is proving Garbage Pail Kids are hot. After being on sale for a month, Topps has revealed the print run for Garbage Pail Kids Late to School Video Series Sticker Set #1. The set sold a total of 556 copies. The set didn’t feature new artwork, but instead was still images from the January animated GPK short, “Late to School”. Topps has mentioned there will be video debuting monthly this year to help celebrate GPK’s 35th anniversary. It appears they will be a set accompanying each video. Set #2 is currently onsite with still a couple of weeks remaining.

Topps and WAX Teaming Up for Digital Garbage Pail Kids

Wax.io announced a partnership with Topps today that will see Topps trading cards come to the Wax Blockchain. The company’s GPK website shares the first details of the partnership. The first product to be available on their app will be Garbage Pail Kids to celebrate their 35th anniversary. The company promises other Topps properties such as MLB, Star Wars, and WWE will also appear in the future.

Details such as pricing, release dates, and exact cards we’re not released by the company. However, their website says their blockchain technology will allow collectors to buy, sell, and trade instantly with anyone around the world for free. Their app will track all ownership and pricing history for all sales of the cards. One example of a Leaky Lindsay care is given, showing transaction history and sales graphs. Topps Reveals Print Run for 2020 GPK Mr. & Mrs. On Demand Set

Garbage Pail Kids continue their hot streak. Today Topps revealed the print run for 2020  On Demand Set 3 Garbage Pail Kids Mr. & Mrs. set. The set sold a total of 1,474 copies. Despite not selling out, this still sets a record for the highest selling On Demand GPK set, and highest selling non political GPK online set. Garbage Pail Kids are selling better than they have in years, with frequent releases still not deterring collectors from buying.

Topps did not release the sketch artist list GPKNews was not able to track down all the artists. GPKNews was able to track 714 sketches. There are still a few artists unaccounted for, given total sales. With the print run being 1474 that puts the parallel print run at; Green Borders (221 ea.), Red Borders (147 ea.), Black Borders (73 ea.), and 5×7 posters (147 ea.). There should also be 737 sketches released.

After a week of sales the second political online GPK release from Topps has ended. Today Topps revealed the print run for 2020 Garbage Pail Kids Disg-Race to the White House Set 2 New Hampshire Primary. Total sales for the set came in at 1,666. While this is down from the record setting first release, the sales remain huge for Topps. The total makes this set the second highest selling online GPK set to date. There is no doubt collectors will be eagerly awaiting the new political offering from Topps.

Topps Reveals Print Run for 2020 GPK Not-Scars Online Set

Last week’s full slate of GPK launches are now starting to end. Today, Topps revealed the print run for 2020 Garbage Pail Kids Not-Scars online set. The set was highlighted by a collector favorite, a card based on the Joker movie. Collectors in total purchased 494 copies, besting the previous week’s Shammy awards set. While the sales total aren’t as high as the political sets, it’s still a very good number for Topps. GPK cards continue to be hot with collectors.
