Greenlight Offers Chance to Be A Garbage Pail Kid

Greenlight Collectibles shared a new contest via their social channels today that offers collectors a chance to become a Garbage Pail Kid. According to the posting a few fans will get the chance to have an illustration made of them and used in upcoming promos. There are two ways to enter the contest. 1) Attend their Collectors Dinner in Indianapolis on 8/8/25, or 2) Send an email to AskGL@GreenLightToys.com with the subject “Become a GPK Entry”. Collectors need to send their name and a short paragraph explaining why they deserve to be a GPK. Email entries close on 8/7/25. It’s unclear how many winners there will be or exactly how the illustrations will be used. If you’ve ever wanted to be a GPK, now’s your chance!

Topps Teases 2025 GPK InterGoolatic Mayhem Week 5

The end is near…Topps today teased 2025 Garbage Pail Kids InterGoolatic Mayhem week 5. The six week series is winding down, but there is still two week left. This week’s set will contain 10 cards, 5 new subjects with a/b versions. Each set purchased also contains either a Wrapper pr Gold Foil /25 card. Artist David Gross did all the artwork for this week’s set. The set will go on sale on Topps.com tomorrow, 6/26.

Topps Delays 2025 Worst of GPK 40th Anniversary

In a release calendar update yesterday to distributors, Topps announced that the 2025 Worst of Garbage Pail Kids 40th Anniversary set has been delayed. Release is now scheduled for 7/30/25. Online sellers Blowout and Steel City have both reflected the change on their website. No reason was supplied for the delay. Originally, the set was to release on 7/11/25. Collectors will have to wait just a bit longer to get their hands on the next release.

Greenlight Announces Garbage Pail Kids Series 8 Diecast Cars

Update #2: Greenlight has revealed production images for the Garbage Pail Kids Series 8 diecast cars. However, all shipping dates on Greenlight products are now listed as “uncertain”. So it’s unclear when the cars will launch.

Good news for collectors of GPK and diecast cars. Greenlight Collectibles has announced Garbage Pail Kids Series 8 Diecast cars. While series 7 is right around the corner, the company is already working on the follow up. No images have been released yet, but the company has revealed the planned car types along with the accompanying cards.

Topps Reveals Print Run for 2025 GPK InterGoolatic Mayhem Week 3

After ending last Thursday, Topps has revealed the print run for 2025 Garbage Pail Kids InterGoolatic Mayhem week 3. The set sold a total of 1,633. Sales were down over 200 copies from week 3. Are the lower sales due to the 40th set preorder the previous week, or just a general lack of interest in the six week series? Week 4 sales are in full swing now, as Topps looks to rebound the sales numbers.

This week’s characters are Cracked Jack and Guillo Tina. Each disc is limited to /50 and can be purchased from the company’s website for $29.99 each. Topps Launches 2025 Garbage Pail Kids InterGoolatic Mayhem Week 4

Another week of sci-fi is upon us, launching a day early due to tomorrow’s holiday. Today Topps launched 2025 Garbage Pail Kids InterGoolatic Mayhem week 4. This week’s set contains 10 cards, 5 new subjects with a/b versions. Each set purchased also includes either a Wrapper Card or Gold Foil /25 card. Artist David Gross takes over on the artwork for the set. Sets can be purchased for $19.99 or in a lot of 10 for $179.99. Shipping is free when selecting the economy option. Artist David Gross takes over the artwork starting with this week’s set and through the end of the series. Each set contains 10 cards, 5 new subjects with a/b versions. Each set also includes one Wrapper card or a Gold Foil /25 card. The set will go one sale one day early this week, tomorrow 6/18, die to the holiday on Thursday. Despite going on sale a day early, sets will still be available until the following Thursday.

The six week series generally see a large drop off from week 1, and this set was no exception. Week 3 sales are going on now, the big question will be if the preorder for the 40th anniversary set affects sales.
