Topps Launches Garbage Pail Kids Bizarre Holidays June Week 4

Topps today continued their weekly holidays series by launching Garbage Pail Kids Bizarre Holidays June Week 4. This marks the end of the third month of weekly sets celebrating all those odd daily holidays. Once again this week’s set has 10 cards, 5 with a/b versions. Artists Joe Simko, Brent Engstrom, and Neil Camera painted the art for this week’s set. Each set also comes with one purple parallel card. The set is available for $19.99 or in a lot of 10 for $179.99. There are also 10×14 posters of each card available for $19.99. Shipping is free when choosing the SmartPost option. Topps Launches Garbage Pail Kids Trashy Treasures

Topps is trying their hand at GPK figures for the third time. Today Topps launched Garbage Pail Kids Trashy Treasures Series 1. It started with Cheap Toys in the 80’s, Minikins came just a few years ago, and now Trashy Treasures is the third in house shot at figures. Series 1 consists of 5 different figures, all individually boxed in their own character box. The checklist consists of Adam Bomb, Leaky Lindsay, Corroded Carl, New Wave Dave, and Richie Retch. Each box also comes with a sticker. The figures are made out of resin. The figures stand approximately 3 1/4” tall, with Adam Bomb being 4 1/2” tall. The base figures are fully painted. Each purchase also has a chance at various parallels. Parallels exists in red (1:5), green (1:10), black (1:25), silver (1:100) and an all-gold version that are 1/1 (1:500). Based on the odds given It would appear the print run for each character would be base (324), red (100), green (50), black (20), silver (5), gold (1). Figures can be purchased for 19.99 each, there is no discounts for multiple purchased… Shipping is not free with the cheapest option for single figures $7.50. The figures are available on Topps.com with no time table on purchases, until they are sold out.

Topps Teases New Garbage Pail Kids Trashy Treasures

Update #2: The official Topps GPK pages shared a picture of the 1/1 Gold figure.

Update: More info from Topps on these were included in the daily sales email sent to customers. The figures will be known as Garbage Pail Kids Trashy Treasures. There will be 5 in the “Series 1” set, Adam Bomb, Leaky Lindsay, Corroded Carl, New Wave Dave, and Richie Retch. Beyond just base figures there will also be “red, green, black, an all-silver variation and the ultra-rare 1-of-1 all-gold variation“. The sides of the boxes also advertises there will be a sticker included. No size or pricing information was revealed by Topps. Topps says the figures will go on sale tomorrow on Topps.com.

This morning on the Topps Facebook account, they began to tease a new line of Garbage Pail Kids Figures. No info other than the picture was shared by Topps. These don’t look like Funkos, so let the speculation begin! GPKNews has reached out to Topps for more info, if they respond this article will be updated.

After ending yesterday, Topps revealed the print run for Garbage Pail Kids Bizarre Holidays June Week 2. The holiday sets continue to retain a core customer base. The total for the second set this month was 492. This is slightly above last week’s sales, but well down from May. With no end in sight, it will be interesting to see how sales develop.

As we enter the third month of bizarre holidays sets, Topps saw a steady increase in sales throughout May. Could the streak continue? Yesterday Topps revealed the print run for Garbage Pail Kids Bizarre Holidays June Week 1. The set sold a total of 478 copies. This is down from last week’s high by over 100 copies. This sales level returns to early May before the recent gains. Will be interesting to see how sales progress throughout June.

Topps Asks Collectors To Help Pick Characters for 35th Set

Today, on the official Garbage Pail Kids Facebook page they, Topps began asking collectors to help them pick characters for the Garbage Pail Kids Series 2 35th Anniversary set. According to the retail sell sheet, there is a Fan Favorites insert set that will be found in retail Fat Packs. Collectors will pull 2 cards per pack. Topps is looking for the top 10 vote getters from their survey for the set. The survey asks collectors for their 3 favorite garbage pail kids, when they started collecting, and their favorite memory. No info is listed for how long the survey will be available, so vote now to have input on the next set! Garbage Pail Kids Series 2 35th Anniversary is set to hit store shelves Sept. 23, 2020.

Topps Reveals Print Run for Garbage Pail Kids Gone Exotic 3

It feels like so long ago since Tiger King was released on Netflix, despite it only being two months ago. The love for the docuseries continues. Today Topps revealed the print run for Garbage Pail Kids Gone Exotic 3. The set sold a total of 1,193 copies. The sales number is a couple of hundred less than set 2, but still excellent results for an online GPK set. Only a few of this years political GPKs could rival this in sales. This set marks the end of line for Tiger King sets, or does it? While this might be the end of physical cards, the rumors making the rounds is Gone Exotic GPKs might be making an appearance as the next WAX digital card set. Nothing official to report from either company, just some hints being dropped from WAX on various podcasts. Regardless, this set, the brain child of artist David Gross, will go down as one of the best selling online GPK sets.
