Topps UK Launches GPK Trashy Treasures Series 4 Purple Parallels

Topps is letting collectors from the UK have a little GPK fun. Today on Topps UK website they launched Garbage Pail Kids Trashy Treasures Series 4 purple parallels. The same five figures launched in the US a few weeks back are available in the UK with each wearing purple clothes. The figures each come with alternate names of the character; Creepy Terry, Rod Wad, Acne Amy, Drillin Dylan, and Geeky Gary. Each figure costs £15. The listing also has each figure comes in a purple box. Collectors do have to pay shipping and there is no time limit on the sale.

The horror from Topps continues as Halloween approaches. Today Topps launched Garbage Pail Kids Oh the Horror-ible Expansion Set 2. The 12 card set contains 6 new pieces available in a/b versions. This is the second horror themed expansion set this month from Topps. Artwork for the set was done by GPK artists David Gross and Brent Engstrom. Each set purchased also comes with a Sepia parallel card. Sets are available for $19.99 each or $179.99 for a lot of 10. Shipping is free when choosing the economy shipping option at checkout. Topps Reveals Print Run for Garbage Pail Kids x Comic Con Oh the Horror-ible

Topps today revealed the print run for 2021 Garbage Pail Kids x Comic Con Oh the Horror-ible. The set is an expansion pack to the very popular retail sets released the last few years. The set sold a total of 1,741 copies. Topps confirmed with GPKNews these numbers do not include sales of the sets at NYCC, so the print run of the base set is considerably higher. Topps did not reveal how many sets were sold at NYCC. Only the online version of the set comes with one Sepia parallel card. Based on the online print run, the Sepia’s are limited to 174 copies per card. The sales number is a very good number for Topps, considering sets were also sold at NYCC and there are no sketches offered with this one.

As promised earlier this week, today Topps launched 2021 Garbage Pail Kids x Comic Con Oh the Horror-ible set. The regular set come with 10 cards, 5 new characters available in a/b versions. Each set also comes with 1 Sepia parallel card. Artwork for the set was done by Joe Simko, Brent Engstrom, David Gross, Joe McWilliams, and Neil Camera. This set is also available at NYCC. Collectors purchasing at the show will receive bonus cards. Each set can be purchased for $19.99 or in a lot of 10 for $179.99. Shipping  is free when choosing the SmartPost option. The set is only available on Topps.com for three days. Topps will reveal the print run at the end of the show. Here is the checklist along with pictures of the cards.

Topps Launches Garbage Pail Kids Trashy Treasures Series 4

Topps surprised collectors today with the launch of Garbage Pail Kids Trashy Treasures Series 4. Like previous series, there are five new characters to collect. This round includes Dead Ted, Joe Blow, Explorin Norman, Ghastly Ashley, and Tee Vee Stevie. The figures once again come in various parallels, besides the regular base figure collectors might receive Red (Most Common), Green (Common), Black (Rare), Silver (Very Rare), or Gold (1/1). Topps did not reveal odds of the parallels. Each figure can be purchased for $19.99 plus shipping. Each figure also comes with a trading card of the character. There is no timer on the sale, the figures will be available on Topps.com until they sell out. Here are pictures of the figures and cards.

Garbage Pail Kids Collector’s Club Set #3 GPsKaters

Collectors who have subscribed to Topps’ GPK Collector’s Club began receiving the third set in the year long club. Thanks to Uncle Louie from GPKNation for the picture of his set. The set is called GPsKaters. The set, which is focuses on Joe Blow, includes 20 base cards and 1 header card. Artists David Gross, Joe Simko, Brent Engstrom, Joe McWilliams, and Neil Camera each did 2 pieces of art for the set. The set depicts GPKs all doing their best skateboard moves with a Joe Blow theme. Topps informed club members recently that the included gift with this set is delayed at customs. Topps said they will be shipping the gift separately from the set. Topps Updates GPK Collector Club Members on Third Gift

Collectors who are part of the year long Garbage Pail Kids Collectors Club begin receiving shipping notices today for set #3. Minutes after notices begin going out, Topps sent an email out to alert collectors of a shipping delay with the included third gift. The email states the gifts are stuck at customs. Topps says the gifts will now ship separately from the card sets, but once they arrive. See picture below for email from Topps.

Topps Launches Garbage Pail Kids Krashers Series 2

A whole new group of GPKs are getting behind the wheel. Today Topps launched 2021 Topps On Demand #9 Garbage Pail Kids Krashers Series 2. Topps made a few changes to how the set is broken down compared to the first set. There are a total of 21 cards in the base set, 10 character names, 10 car names, and 1 header card. Like the first set, all the artwork was done by GPK artist Joe Simko. There are also inserts and parallels to collect. Each set purchased comes with 3 license plate back cards. Each set also comes with either a foil card or a sketch card. This time around sketches are a bit harder to pull at 1:3 sets. Foil parallels come in both Gold (/50) and Rainbow (/25). Sketch artists confirmed so far for the set by Topps are; Neil Camera, Chris Meeks, GPK Nik, Lowell Isaac Hildebrandt , Brandhen Snyder, Darrin Pepe, K. GRIMM, Robert Jimenez, Yoga Demon, Jason Crosby , Chenduz, Bekki Sharp, Simone Arena, Ziggy, Gregory Fages, Jasmine Contois, and Robert “El Smetcho” Garcia. Each set can be purchased for $40. Shipping is free when choosing the SmartPost option. The sets are available on topps.com for 7 days or until sold out. Don’t wait on these, GPK On Demand sets often sell out within a matter of hours. Topps Teases Garbage Pail Kids Krashers Series 2 Online Release

It appears online GPK sets are once again ramping up. Topps today via their GPK Facebook page begin teasing Garbage Pail Kids Krashers Series 2 online set coming tomorrow. The picture posted appears to be a header card similar to the first series. This time Mad Mike, Live Mike, and Buggy Betty are all featured on the card. Joe Simko once again did artwork for the cards in the set. Simko also mentioned on his Facebook account today that there will once again be sketch cards available as part of the offering. Collectors can expect this to be an On Demand type of offer that will be limited based on the number of available sketches. Collectors will find all the set details when it goes live on Topps.com tomorrow.

Topps Launches Nasty Nick x Vlad Guerrero Project 70 Mashup

Ermsy is at it again, incorporating another Garbage Paul Kids iconic character in a baseball card. Today Topps launched Project 70 Card #539 1985 Vladimir Guerrero Jr. by Ermsy. This is the second card in the online only set to include a GPK character. Back in July Ermsy also painted a Adam Bomb x Mike Trout card. The card features Vlad Guerrero Jr. seemingly busting out as Bad Vlad, spilting Nasty Nick in two. The card is based off the popular 1985 Topps baseball card layout. There are different versions to collect. In addition to the regular base version, Rainbow Foil /70 and Gold 1/1 will be randomly inserted into the print run. Collectors can order the base version of the card for $19.99 each, in a lot of 5 for $82.49, or a lot of 10 for $144.99. Free shipping is available when choosing the SmartPost option. The cards are available for 3 days on Topps.com. Topps will reveal the print run of the base card after sales end.
