Hello all you cool cats and kittens. Topps is jumping on the bandwagon of the hugely popular Netflix documentary Tiger King. Today Topps launched the Garbage Pail Kids Gone Exotic online set. The set is based off of the big cat documentary that debuted during the pandemic on Netflix. The show has been a huge success, according to Netflix it was viewed by 34 million people in the first 10 days. The show couldn’t be more taylor made for a GPK set. The 10 card set is officially licensed by Netflix. All 5 paintings, which come in a/b versions were painted by David Gross. Each set can be purchased for $19.99 or in a lot of 10 for $179.99. Topps Reveals Print Run for Garbage Pail Kids Bizarre Holidays Week 2

The second week of sales are in for Garbage Pail Kids Bizarre Holidays. The latest online set from Topps saw sales drop a bit in week 2. The 10 card set sold a total of 469 sets. That number is just over 100 less than the first week’s cards. Week 3’s cards are for sale now, with Topps planning the set to continue at least through April.

Midway through April Topps is moving right past Easter and continuing with all the odd little holidays. Today Topps launched Garbage Pail Kids Bizarre Holidays Week 3. This week’s online cards once again feature a 10 card set with 5 new paintings in a/b versions. Artwork for the set was completed by David Gross, Brent Engstrom, Joe Simko, Joe McWilliams, and Neil Camera. Each set can be purchased for $19.99 or in lots of 10 for $179.99. Topps also added 10×14 posters of each card to their store. Each poster can be purchased for $19.99. Shipping is free when choosing the SmartPost option. Topps Reveals Print Run for Garbage Pail Kids Bizarre Holidays Week 1

April Fools got Topps started on a brand new monthly online GPK set. Today Topps revealed the print run for Garbage Pail Kids Bizarre Holidays Week 1. The set sold a total of 562 copies. That puts it in line with other non-political GPK o lines sets sold earlier this year. Right now the set is currently planned through the end of April, as Topps takes a break from the political sets.

This week’s 10 card set picks up where last week’s ended with 5 new paintings coming in a/b versions. Once again the artists for the set are Brent Engstrom, David Gross, Joe Simko, Joe McWilliams, and Neil Camera. The set can be purchased for $19.99 or in a lot of 10 for $179.99. Topps Reveals Print Run for GPK Disg-Race to the White House Set 6 Presidential Dropouts

The last political GPK set for a while saw a large drop in sales from previous sets. Today, Topps revealed the print run for GPK Disg-Race to the White House Set 6 Presidential Dropouts. The set sold a total of 1,062 copies. This is a large drop from all the previous sets in the series. The nearly 40% drop in sales makes this the lowest selling of the presidential sets. With that being said, over 1000 in sales are still really good results for Topps. It remains to be seen if the reason for lower sales was due to collectors reducing their spending or tiring of the political sets. Topps will take a break from political sets for a bit while the country handles the coronavirus pandemic.

Topps Launches Garbage Pail Kids “GPK Rocks” Video Series Set 3

Topps today launched their latest video series set based on the GPK mini animated videos. While there was no video on March, Topps got April started off in a big way. The “GPK Rocks” video once again features the Funko GPK characters, this time at a rock concert. The music in the video is Dr. Chud’s, “We’re the Garbage Pail Kids”, which originally appeared in the GPK 30th documentary movie. GPK artist Joe Simko supplies a Coronavirus PSA at the end of the video.

The accompanying card set, Garbage Pail Kids “GPK Rocks” Video Series Set 3, was also launched today. The set features 5 cards with still shots from the video. Each set can be purchased for $9.99. Topps is taking a breather from political sets for a bit. Today they launched their latest online set, Garbage Pail Kids Bizarre Holidays April Week 1. The cards all feature gags using OS characters based on all the daily bizarre holidays in April. The card backs have the date and name of the holiday being celebrated. This week’s 10 card set features 5 new paintings with a/b versions. Artwork for the set was done by Brent Engstrom, Joe Simko, David Gross, Joe McWilliams, and Neil Camera. The current plan is to continue the set for the next 4 weeks, with all five artists doing one card per week. The set can be purchased for $19.99 each or in a lot of 10 for $179.99. Topps Reveals Print Run for GPK Disg-Race to the White House Set 5 Presidential Nicknames

After the last political set ended earlier today, Topps officially revealed the print run for Garbage Pail Kids Disg-Race to the White House Set 5: Presidential Nicknames. The set sold a total of 1,687 copies. This is a bounce back after set 4 sold just over 1300 copies. This set is the 3rd highest selling online set to date. Once again collectors continue to be out in full force for online GPKs despite a troubled economy and coronavirus concerns. The set listed this week is going to be the last one for a while as Topps waits for coronavirus events to subside. Topps does have a new online set in the works, set to debut next week.
