Their launch page has been updated to reveal the preorder will now go live next Tuesday, 8/5/25 at 12:00 PM EST. No reasons we’re giving for the delay. Enjoy the 40th this week collectors!

Topps Announces 2024 GPK Battle of the Bands Green Day Preorder

It’s been over a year since Topps teased a Garbage Pail Kids set based solely on the band Green Day. Fans will finally get their shot at collecting the set. Topps announced the preorder for 2024 Battle of the Bands Green Day. Boxes go on sale for preorder tomorrow, 7/29, at 12:00 PM EST on topps.com. No pricing or release date has been revealed by the company yet. Topps however did reveal some details on the set, including releasing the checklist. The base set contains 100 cards, 50 new gags with a/b versions. All cards are based on the the history of the band Green Day. The set is also filled with a massive eight different insert sets. The inserts sets are; B-Sides (16), American Idiot Short Prints (6(, Sweet Children (8), Tribute to the East Bay (8), Battle of the Bands (6), Dookie 30 Years (8), Album Art (14), and Standing Room Only (7). Additionally, collectors can find both autographs and relics from the band; Autograph Cards (3), Triple Auto (1), American Idiot Triple Auto (1), Tour Relics (4), Auto Tour Relics (6), and Auto Triple Tour Relics (2). Artwork for the set was done by David Gross, Joe Simko, Brent Engstrom, Joe McWilliams, Neil Camera, Rory McQueen, and Lowell Isaac. Topps has yet to reveal any other information on the set. Topps Reveals Print Run for 2025 GPK InterGoolatic Mayhem Week 6
After ending yesterday Topps has revealed the print run for 2025 Garbage Pail Kids InterGoolatic Mayhem Week 6. The set sold a total of 1,698 copies. This was the final week of the six week series. The sales numbers were down slightly from week 5. The final four weeks of sales were all in the same ballpark. Really solid sales once again for an online GPK series. Plenty more planned for 2025 with online sets both one offs and another six week series. Collectors should keep their eyes open!

After ending last Thursday, Topps has revealed the print run for 2025 Garbage Pail Kids InterGoolatic Myahem week 5. The set sold a total of 1,730 sets. Sales were up slightly over the previous two weeks. There is just one final week for this series, just a few days for collectors to pickup the last set.

This week’s set contains 10 cards, 5 new subjects with a/b versions. Each set purchased also comes with either one Wrapper or Gold Foil /25 card. Sets can be purchased for $19.99 or in a lot of 10 for $179.99. Shipping is free when choosing the economy option. Sets are available for 7 days on Topps.com. The mayhem is just about over! Today Topps shared a teaser for 2025 Garbage Pail Kids InterGoolatic Mayhem week 6. This will be the final set of the six week series. Once again the set will have 10 cards, 5 new subjects with a/b versions. Each set also comes with either one Wrapper or Gold Foil /25 card. All artwork for the set will be done by David Gross. The set will go on sale at Topps.com tomorrow, 7/3. Wrap up the mayhem just before the fireworks!

Are the lower sales due to the 40th set preorder the previous week, or just a general lack of interest in the six week series? Week 4 sales are in full swing now, as Topps looks to rebound the sales numbers.
