Topps Launches Project 70 Stan Musial x GPK Mashup

As Topps begins to wind down the Project 70 baseball card set, the mashups with Garbage Pail Kids continue to surface. Today Topps launched Project 70 Card 838 1986 Stan Musial by Keith Shore. This is the fourth of five planned GPK mashups in the set from Keith Shore. The card features the Cardinals legend as GPK Handy Randy, now named Hand Musial. The GPK banner is redone with a St. Louis Cardinals banner. Collectors who order a card have the chance to randomly receive a rainbow foil parallel /70, or a gold parallel 1/1. Each card can be purchased for $19.99, in a lot of 5 for $81.49, or a lot of 10 for $144.99. Shipping is free when choosing the SmartPost option. The card will be available for 3 days on Topps.com. Topps Finishes 2021 GPK Collector Club with Binder & Set 4

Collectors who signed up last January for the 2021 Garbage Pail Kids Collector’s Club are just starting to receive their last set and gift. Thanks to Uncle Louie from GPK Nation for the pictures. The club has seen a lot of controversy but most collectors should be satisfied with the final gift, a Collector’s Club binder. The binder was first teased as a gift when the club first went on sale on Topps UK site, but that information was quickly removed. The binder itself features the same picture and header on the front and back of the binder. Collectors also received the final 21 card set titled, I’m Always Cranky. This concludes the first year of the club. Topps has not announced if there will be another club offer in 2022.

Topps Launches Project 70 Honus Wagner x GPK Mashup

The daily online baseball card set Project 70 continues to incorporate Garbage Pail Kids into some of the cards. Today Topps launched Project 70 Card 827 Honus Wagner by Ermsy. This mashup includes one of the most sought after baseball cards from around the beginning of the 1900’s with GPK character Nervous Rex. This is the forth card Ermsy has done that’s incorporated GPKs. Customers ordering a card have the chance to randomly receive a Rainbow Foil parallel /70 and a Gold parallel 1/1. Each card can be purchased for $19.99, in a lot of 5 for $81.49, or a lot of 10 for $144.99. Shipping is free choosing the SmartPost option. The card is available for sale on Topps.com for 3 days. Topps Reveals Print Run for Garbage Pail Kids 2021 Was the Worst

2021 may have been the worst, but with GPK Collectors sales turned out to be one of the best. After ending yesterday, Topps revealed the print run for Garbage Pail Kids 2021 Was the Worst. The set sold a total of 1,876 copies. That marks the second best selling regular (non-On Demand) online set this year, behind the wildly successful Gamestonk set. The set features a number of gags based on some of the highlights or lowlights of 2021. This is the final scheduled online release for GPK of 2021. Looks like Topps went out with a bang to end the year.

Garbage Pail Kids ComplexCon Sets Feature Different Backs

Are you Team Red or Team Black? If you attended the in person ComplexCon show and was able to purchase the 12 card ComplexCon set you might have noticed the backs of the cards are Red with ComplexCon is black ink. Collectors who purchased the ComplexCon sets from Topps.com will notice the backs of their cards are Black with the ComplexCon in white ink. The print run of the topps.com version is 1233, Topps did not release the number of sales for the in person event. Expect the in person Red Back version to be much smaller, as very few have shown up on secondary markets.

The set features 10 cards, 5 new pieces with a/b versions. Each set also comes with one sad face parallel card. Art for the cards were done by David Gross, Neil Camera, and Brent Engstrom. This is the last planned online GPK release for Topps in 2021. Each set can be purchased for $19.99 or in a lot of 10 for $189.99. Shipping is free when choosing the SmartPost option. Topps Reveals Print Run for Garbage Pail Kids Bizarre Holidays March Week 4

After ending earlier today, Topps revealed the print run for Garbage Pail Kids Bizarre Holidays March Week 4. The set couldn’t quite keep the GPK hot streak alive. Total sales for the set ended at 542 copies. Those numbers are right in line with what the other Bizarre Holidays sets were selling for back in March. Sales of the final set in the year long series were put on hold when Topps sent GPKs to timeout after a controversial BTS themed card was put up for sale. Collectors who stuck with the set through the entire year finally are now finally able to finish off their binders!

Topps Reveals Print Run for Garbage Pail Kids x ComplexCon Online Set

Topps has released a flurry of online GPK sets in recent weeks, and the sales just keep coming up solid for them. Yesterday, Topps revealed the print run for Garbage Pail Kids x ComplexCon. The set sold a total of 1,233 copies. That’s almost 200 higher than the previous Complex releases set, and once again shows GPKs are hot with another solid finishing well into four digits in sales. We will find out soon if Topps can keep the steak going with the final Bizarre Holidays set ending today.

Topps has finally updated the sales numbers for 2021 Garbage Pail Kids Oh the Horror-ible Expansion Set 2. This was the second horror themed set launched by Topps in October. The set sold a total of 1,289 copies. The sales falls about 450 + con sales short of the first expansion set. Still almost 1300 sets for a regular online release is solid sales. Topps is back on track offering a full menu of online sets in these last few months of 2021.

It only took eight months, but collectors can finally finish their Bizarre Holidays set. Today Topps launched Garbage Pail Kids Bizarre Holidays March Week 4. The final set in the year long series was in the can and ready to launch back in March when Topps put the brakes on GPKs. After the controversial BTS themed card was offered and pulled, Topps stopped launching GPK sets for months. After returning to selling GPKs recently, Topps is allowing collectors to finish that year long set. The set comes with 10 cards, 5 new pieces in a/b versions. Each set also comes with one light blue parallel card. The set can be purchased for $19.99 each or in a lot of 10 for $179.99. Shipping is free when choosing the SmartPost option.
