Topps Teases Garbage Pail Kids We Hate the 70’s Online Set

Topps in their daily sales email began teasing the next 6 week online set, Garbage Pail Kids We Hate the 70’s. While the set is not an exact expansion series, it does play off the past sets of We Hate the 80’s and 90’s. Collectors can expect sets once a week for 6 weeks. Topps will be giving away one final painting artwork each week again. All artwork for these sets was done by Brent Engstrom and David Gross. The first set is scheduled to launch this Thursday, 8/3.

Topps Launches 2023 Entertainment Blend Look ‘n See by Ermsy

The blend is back, as Topps launches its second set that features many of its own entertainment properties. 2023 Topps Entertainmnet Blend Look ‘n See by Ermsy features cards with Garbage Pail Kids, Wacky Packages, Mars Attacks, and with a heavy emphasis on Look ‘n See. Look ‘n See was a Topps brand from the 1950’s that featured portrait style art of famous figures. Just like last year, Ermsy completed all the artwork for the set. All cards in the set appear to be done in the Look ‘n See style. This time around the base set consists of 20 “a” GPK cards. Each box comes with 6 cards, 5 base cards and 1 parallel or insert card. Collectors have the chance of pulling parallels in Blue Foil /49, Green Foil /25, Red Foil /10, and Gold Foil 1/1. Inserts found can be “b” name (20 subjects), Wacky Packages (5 subjects), Mars Attacks (5 subjects), Ermsy card, or Ermsy autograph. Boxes cost $19.99 per box or $94.99 for 5 boxes, and can be purchased at Topps.com. There is no time table currently set for the sale. You can view the checklist of the series by clicking here. Topps Teases New Entertainment Blend Set Coming Next Week

Topps today via their official Garbage Pail Kids Facebook page began teasing the next Topps Entertainment Blend online set. Not much is revealed by just the picture that was posted. Once again it looks like all the art for the set was done by Ermsy. Ermsy also did the art on the first Entertainment Blend set from last year. The set features multiple brands from Topps including; Wacky Packages, Mars Atracks, Garbage Pail Kids, and for the first time, Look N’ See. Look N See was a brand from Topps in the 50’s that featured portrait style art of famous figures. The sample image on the preview of Oppenheimer and Adam Bomb is an example of a Look N See card. The box itself advertises it contains 6 cards, and says you can find rare B name short prints, on card autographs from Ermsy, and more. Topps Entertainment Blend 2 is set to go on sale 7/27/23 on Topps website.

Topps Launches Garbage Pail Kids x View Askew

Update: Topps’ listing for this set has gone through a number of changes and updates as the day has gone on. The listing was first posted with zero information. It was soon updated to show there were six 4-card packs per box. After another couple of hours Topps added what parallels can be found inside, along with odds:

Look for Exclusive Parallels:

  • Green: 1 Per Pack
  • Yellow: #’d to 100
  • Orange: #’d to 75
  • Blue: #’d to 50
  • Red: #’d to 25
  • Purple: #’d to 1
  • Printing Plate Parallels (CMYK) #’d to 1

This release is a rare release to contain printing plates. Because greens are listing as 1 per pack, there is no way to determine print run information yet. Topps could print and sell an unlimited number of boxes. Free shipping also seems to possibly be back. Originally Topps was planning on charging shipping, but that looks to have changed at some point during the day.

Snoochie Boochies! Topps today launched Garbage Pail Kids x View Askew online set. The 40 card set is an homage to many of the popular Kevin Smith films over the years. All cards in the set were done by artists Brent Engstrom and David Gross. The set is also suppose to be sold at this year’s SDCC show, however a location hasn’t been announced. It appears each box comes with 6 packs of cards for $50, even though there is no info about that in the description. Each pack has 4 cards. There is mention on the box that parallels can be found inside, but again nothing in the description. The box can be purchased at Topps.com, there is no time limit showing for the sale. There is no free shipping option for these boxes. Here are some pictures of the ser.
