The holidays never stop at Topps, but do the sales? After ending yesterday, Topps revealed the print run for Garbage Pail Kids Bizarre Holidays Sept. Week 2. Sales for the week were 420 sets. This marks the lowest selling holiday set so far in the almost six month series. Sales remain consistently in the 400’s, but have overall fallen the past few weeks not hitting in the five or six hundreds. Is Topps finally starting to hit the saturation point with online sets?

The holiday party at Topps continues on. Today Topps launched Garbage Pail Kids Bizarre Holidays Sept. Week 3. This weeks set comes with 10 cards, 5 with a/b versions. Each set also comes with one deep blue parallel card. They can be purchased for $19.99 each or in a lot of 10 for $179.99. There are also 10×14 posters available of each card for $19.99. Shipping is free when choosing the SmartPost option. The cards will be available for 7 days on topps.com. Topps will reveal the print run at the end of the sale. Total sales for the set was 460. This remains right in line with recent weeks. With no end in sight collectors can expect their weekly dose of the holidays.

After ending earlier this week Topps revealed the print run for On Demand #17 Garbage Pail Krashers. The GPKs meet Weird Wheels mashup sold a total of 1800 sets. These sales are just slightly lower than the previous On Demand set, Untold Stories. The print run was determined based on how many sketches were completed for the set. A total of 900 would have been completed to get an 1800 print run. So far GPKNews has been able to identify 645 sketches. The artists who so far have come forward are Dustin Graham (50), Jasmine Contois (40), GPK Nik (60), Rory McQueen (50), Joe Simko (10), Darrin Pepe (50), Greg Treize “Greg13*” (40), Pat Chaimuang (50), Anthony Skubis (60), Shane Garvey (60) Chenduz (80), Simone Arena (40), and Bekki Jayne Sharp (55). There are still at least 4-5 artists that haven’t come forward yet. The print run also reveals that there will be 360 of each insert set, License Backs and Artist Roughs. Will this be the last collectors see of the Krashers? I wouldn’t bet on it…

It took a few days, but Topps has posted the sales for Garbage Pail Kids Bizarre Holidays August Week 4. The set sold a total of 516 copies. This is slightly higher than week 3, and falls right in line with most sets. The holidays sets have found a regular following from collectors with little variation. There is no end in sight for the weekly set, as they have already entered the sixth month in Sept.

After many months of Topps moving away from political cards, they are back with a large set celebrating the recent presidential national conventions. After ending Wed., Topps revealed the print run for Garbage Pail Kids Bizarre Holidays August Week 3. Sales for the week was 449 sets. This is nearly 200 less than week 2 sales, and even lower than week 1. Collectors may be focusing on only certain art and gags they enjoy. The gags are strong for Week 4, so we could very well see the yo-yo trend continue.
