Well that didn’t take long. Less than four hours after going on sale, the Topps On Demand #2 2019 Garbage Pail Kids Valentine’s Day is Gross online set sold out. Collectors and resellers were quick to jump on this set. A total of 800 sets were available through Topps.com starting just before 2 PM Eastern time. Just after 5:30 PM the sets were no longer for sale. This marks the fastest sellout of a GPK online set. Last year’s Meme set sold out in just about 12 hours. With the quick sellouts expect future print runs of the sets to increase. The question now on collector’s minds is if Topps has fixed the shipping issues they had with the Meme set.
Update: Topps posted the official print run as 750 sets. It could be because Topps is holding back some of the sketches for replacements for damaged shipments, which is a common practice.
