Eagled eyed collectors this morning saw a deal that was too good to be true. Topps briefly had a listing on their website this morning for the corrected reprint version of card #20 form the Garbage Pail Kids 2019 Was the Worst set. The website was allowing customers to order single copies of the card for the low price of $0.00. A couple hours after word got out about the listing, Topps removed it from their website. Sure enough collectors won’t be getting free cards anytime soon. Later this afternoon Topps sent out emails to collectors canceling the order and informing them the listing was an error.
Boy o boy. I bet they are happy this set is over!
I decided to purchase 5 of the reprints. Out of curiosity I added the single card priced 0.00$ to the cart not expecting it to be processed as I thought it was an error. Sure enough when the package arrived the invoice reflected the original order and there were 6 cards included. I guess I was one of the lucky ones.
