File this one under the very interesting category, *eyesemoji*. The “Hobby’s Lawyer”, Paul Lesko, reported today via his twitter account that Topps this week filed for a new trademark for “GPK”. The trademark filing focuses on three things; multimedia goods based on animated characters, clothing, and entertainment services based on fictional characters. While trademarks don’t guarantee any future product announcements by a company, they can certainly give a glimpse into what Topps might be working on with it comes to GPK. As Lesko writes, “Garbage Pail Kids fans, read into that what you will.”
This week, Topps filed a trademark application for GPK which covers (basically) digital media/multimedia goods, clothes and entertainment services…such as an ongoing television series and electronic game services.
