GPK The Game Lives, Android Version Coming Soon

Just when you thought GPK The Game was dead… The mobile game originally launched on the iPhone back in May 2019. The game garnered a small but loyal following. However, after the first few months developers stopped updating the game and fixing bugs. This led to a steady drop of players and posts from players the the game’s community forums. Developers stopped updating players on those same forums almost a year ago. To everyone’s surprise there was an update to the game a little over two weeks ago. According to the release notes, there were a number of bug fixes along with updates the the types of packs available in the game store. This was the first significant update in 10 months.

In further developments the company updated their website and posted on their social channels that the Android version of the game would be releasing soon. When the game first released the company had promised the Android version was coming, but most players had given up hope. No released date has been announced for the Android version, but the game is listed on the Google Play Store as coming soon. The Google Play Store shows the game is being released on Android by UK game company Reliance Big Entertainment.

GPKNews has reached out to Jago Studios for comment on the game’s current and future status. If they respond, this article will be updated. Here’s hoping the developers are able to relaunch the game and continue updates to entice new players.

Greenlight Shares First Mock-ups of Series 3 Garbage Pail Kids Diecast Cars

The popular diecast car website, 3000toys.com, has posted the mock-up images for Greenlight Collectible’s Garbage Pail Kids Series 3 diecast cars. Thanks to collector James Berger for the heads up. Additionally the list of cards that come with the cars were revealed. Series 3 will have:

• Bruce Moose – 1955 Chevrolet Nomad
• Amped Andrea – 1964 Volkswagen Samba Bus with Surfboards
• Mauled Paul – 1965 Volkswagen Panel Van Ambulance
• Shattered Shelby – 1966 Shelby GT350
• Ig Lou – 2015 Ram 1500 with Snow Plow and Salt Spreader
• Traffic Lady Katie – 1962 Austin Mini Cooper MkI

Traffic Lady Katie is this series new price of art. There’s also been an update to the release day of the cars, as the time frame has slipped to Mar.-Apr. of 2021. This matches the same time frame as the GPK Mack Truck release. As with previous releases there will be rare Green Machines randomly inserted into cases.

David Gross Collaboration Highlights GPKNation Launches

GPKNation has a slew of launches planned for this week. The highlight is their collaboration with long time GPK artist David Gross. This will be the first in a series of artist collaborations with official Topps artists. “It was great working with David Gross, together we created this coin using artwork specifically made for these coins,” explained Louis Gregory, CEO of GPK Nation.

 

This Tuesday, 11/3, at 1:00 EST will be the first pin using the Weird Wendy/Haggy Maggie artwork done by David Gross. The pin will be limited to 200 copies. Then on Friday, 11/6, at 1:00 EST the corresponding coins will launch. There will be two coins, one Weird Wendy, and one Haggy Maggie. The coins will also be limited to 200 copies of each. These will be the only versions of the coins released, no parallel versions are planned.

That’s not all, also Tuesday’s release will see the debut of the Messy Tessie Christmas Ornament. The ornament is limited to 300 copies. Finally, the White Adam Bomb Ornament Keychain will also be available on Tuesday. The emblem will be limited to 50 copies. There will be plenty of door prizes available this week for purchasers. Adam Bomb Highlights This Week’s GPK Nation Launches

This week is all about Adam Bomb at GPK Nation. The product launches kick off this Tuesday, 10/27, at 1:00 PM EST. There will be 75 more Adam Bomb pins released for sale. The entire print run of the pin is 300, with the first 75 selling out last week. Also launching Tuesday will be the Green Adam Bomb Ornament Keychain. As with the other keychains, there will be 100 available.

This Friday, 10/30, at 1:00 PM EST, will see the debut of the new Adam Bomb Coin. The coin stands at 3 inches, and features the original artwork for Adam Bomb on the back. There will only be 100 copies of the coin available. The company says this will be the only release of the coin, no other variations will be offered.

Keychain & Coin #3 Highlight GPKNation Garbage Pail Kids Releases

GPKNation has set their launch lineup for this week. Tomorrow, Tues. 10/20 @ 1:00 PM EST, will see the launch of the next keychain. The Blue Adam Bomb Ornament Keychain is the third different keychain so far after red and black. The keychain will be limited to 100 copies made, and collectors can purchase 2 per order.

This Friday, GPKNation will be retiring their initial coins with the launch of coin #3. There will be 100 copies of the coin available in Nickel Plated White, Sterling Silver, and Artist Proof. There will also be 5 each of the coins in red, blue, green, purple, orange, and yellow. The coins will launch at 1:00 PM EST this Friday, 10/16. GPKNation was one of the companies highlighted by Topps Licensing VP Ira Friedman on last week’s Philly Non-Sports Topps Virtual Chat. GPKNation to Release Keychain & Coins This Week

GPKNation is set to continue to offer their limited GPK merchandise this week. First up will be a special Tuesday launch for a Black Adam Bomb Ornament Keychain. The keychains will be limited to only 50 made. Customers who order can also enter a door prize contest by entering their order number on the GPKNation Facebook group. The launch will be tomorrow, Tues. 10/13 at 1:00 PM EST.

That‘a not all they have planned this week. This Friday will be the launch of coin #2 in various colors. There will be 100 copies of the coin available in Nickel Plated White, Sterling Silver, and Artist Proof. There will also be 5 each of the coins in red, blue, green, purple, orange, and yellow. New Garbage Pail Kids Funko Pops Coming in 2021

According to the spreadsheet posted today on the Funko news twitter account @disfunko, there are new Garbage Pail Kids Funko Pops on the way in 2021. The list posted shows four Pop GPKs; Jay Decay, Ali Gator, Leaky Lindsay, and Split Kit. These will be the first GPK Funkos since 2018, and adds to the previous four GPK Pops released by the company. No other details such as release date has been announced yet.

Super7 Launches Garbage Pail Kids Reaction Figure Adam Bomb

Like all other comic cons this year, New York Comic Con was cancelled and moved to a virtual event. Super7 launches their special Stay-At-Home-Ic-Con today on their website. The highlight for GPK collectors is the Garbage Pail Kids Reaction Figure Adam Bomb. The figure measures 9x6x1. It can be purchased for $20 plus shipping, there is a 2 figure per customer limit. Super7 also debuted a new long sleeved Adam Bomb tshirt. The shirt features the GPK logo on front, with Adam Bomb going up both sleeves. The short is available for $40 in sizes S-3xl. Welcome to Smellville Makes New York Times Best Seller List

The first Garbage Pail Kids children’s novel from RL Stine looks to be a success. Illustrator of the book, Jeff Zapata, posted that the book will be debuting on the next New York Times Best Seller List. Welcome to Smellville is the 7th best selling book in the Middle Grade Hardcover Children’s Best Seller list. Certainly of the books sell well the series will continue. The second book, Thrills & Chills, is set to be released in March 2021. Congrats to all involved!
