We are entering month eight of the weekly holiday sets, and Topps got an early start this morning. Today Topps launched Garbage Pail Kids Bizarre Holidays Nov. Week 1. This week’s set contains 10 cards, 5 with a/b versions. The set also comes with one yellow parallel card. Each set can be purchased for $19.99, or in a lot of ten for $179.99. There are also 10×14 posters of each card available for $19.99. Shipping is free when choosing the SmartPost option. The set will be available for 7 days on topps.com. GPK collectors love their Halloween themed cards. This past week’s themed set was no exception. After ended earlier today, Topps revealed the print run for 2020 Garbage Pail kids Halloween Stories. Topps sold a total of 2,099 packs of the themed set. While, not as successful as the previous Untold Stories set, this set still sold really well. Despite there only being 63 total sketches inserted into the run, collectors still bought a large number of packs. Based on the print run here are how many possible sets there will be to make:

• Sets – 2099 Sold x 10 cards per pack = 20990 total cards / 63 in set = 333 total sets
• Cover Insert Set – 2099 Sold x 1 per pack = 2099 / 5 in set = 419 total sets
• Chance at Stories Sketch 2099 Sold / 63 total sketches = 1:33 packs sold

There won’t be a ton of complete sets floating around, and sketches will certainly be a challenge on this one. Topps is planning two more holiday themed sets for the remainder of 2020, most likely a Thanksgiving and Christmas themed set.

The end of the year is going to be busy for GPK collectors, but that isn’t stopping them from buying online sets. After ending yesterday, Topps revealed the print run for Garbage Pail Kids Bizarre Holidays Oct. Week 4. The set sold a total of 504 copies. This is up from previous weeks and the first time over 500 copies in a while. Momentum continues to build as we head into the final months of 2020z

The untold stories continue to be told. Topps had a hit on its hands back in July with the first release of the comic styled cards. The concept is back, this time with a Halloween theme. Today Topps launched 2020 Garbage Pail Kids Halloween Stories. The 63 card base set is made up of 5 different stories done by artists Neil Camera, Chris Meeks, and Lowell Isaac. There is also 5 card Cover Story insert set. Each pack comes with 10 base cards, and 1 Cover Story insert card. The listing also says there are randomly inserted story sketch cards. These are the cards used to print the base cards. No odds were given for the story sketches. Each pack can be purchased for $19.99 each or in a lot of 10 for $179.99. After ending yesterday, Topps revealed the print run for Garbage Pail Kids Bizarre Holidays Oct. Week 3. The set sold a total of 446 copies. This is down from the previous two weeks in October. However, once again the print run remains consistently right in the 400’s. As the holidays get closer it will be interesting to see if the prints runs hold up.

Topps today on their social media channels began teasing a new online set Garbage Pail Kids Halloween Untold Stories. The set is scheduled to be released on topps.com this Thursday, 10/22. This will mark the second untold stories type of set releases by the company. No other details about the set, including of sketches will be part of it again, were available.

Sales is up slightly from the previous week, as the sets inch closer back to 500 copies. There continues to be a set group of collectors that add these sets to their collection weekly.
