It’s the baseball card product that wants to be GPK! Today’s Project 70 offerings feature the second Garbage Pail Kids mashup from artist Keith Shore. Project 70 Card 767 Babe Ruth by Keith Shore gives his take on “Babe Tooth”. Like his previous card, the GPK banner is replaced with a New York Yankees banner. This is the second of five planned GPK themed cards from Keith Shore in the set. Collectors who purchase the base card will also have the chance to receive a Railbow Foil /70 parallel, or Gold 1/1 parallel. Topps Reveals Print Run for Garbage Pail Kids 2021 Was the Worst

2021 may have been the worst, but with GPK Collectors sales turned out to be one of the best. After ending yesterday, Topps revealed the print run for Garbage Pail Kids 2021 Was the Worst. The set sold a total of 1,876 copies. That marks the second best selling regular (non-On Demand) online set this year, behind the wildly successful Gamestonk set. The set features a number of gags based on some of the highlights or lowlights of 2021. This is the final scheduled online release for GPK of 2021. Looks like Topps went out with a bang to end the year.

Topps Launches Project 70 GPK x Derek Jeter Mashup

Topps is going all out featuring Garbage Pail Kids in their Project 70 online product. After yesterday’s New Wave Dave x Acuna Jr. mashup by Ermsy, today brings a Sloshed Josh x Derek Jeter card. Today Topps launched Project 70 Card 737 1986 Derek Jeter by Keith Shore . This is the 5th card to feature GPKs, by three different artists. Artist Keith Shore shared the card last night on his Instagram account. He announced the last 5 cards he would be doing for Project 70 would all be based on his favorite GPKs. Instead of a typical baseball card layout, today’s card is based on the Sloshed Josh GPK, with a few changes. Jeter is drawn as a GPK inside the GPKola bottle. The classic Garbage Pail Kids banner is replaced with a New York Yankees banner. The classic GPK name plate appears with the name Derek Liter. Collectors can randomly receive a rainbow foil /70, or Gold border 1/1 parallel. Each card can be purchased for $19.99, in a lot of 5 for $81.49, or a lot of 10 for $144.99. Garbage Pail Kids ComplexCon Sets Feature Different Backs

Are you Team Red or Team Black? If you attended the in person ComplexCon show and was able to purchase the 12 card ComplexCon set you might have noticed the backs of the cards are Red with ComplexCon is black ink. Collectors who purchased the ComplexCon sets from Topps.com will notice the backs of their cards are Black with the ComplexCon in white ink. The print run of the topps.com version is 1233, Topps did not release the number of sales for the in person event. Expect the in person Red Back version to be much smaller, as very few have shown up on secondary markets.

The set features 10 cards, 5 new pieces with a/b versions. Each set also comes with one sad face parallel card. Art for the cards were done by David Gross, Neil Camera, and Brent Engstrom. This is the last planned online GPK release for Topps in 2021. Each set can be purchased for $19.99 or in a lot of 10 for $189.99. Shipping is free when choosing the SmartPost option. Much like his previous use of Nasty Nick, this new card features Acuna swinging through spilting New Wave Dave in half. Topps Reveals Print Run for Garbage Pail Kids Bizarre Holidays March Week 4

After ending earlier today, Topps revealed the print run for Garbage Pail Kids Bizarre Holidays March Week 4. The set couldn’t quite keep the GPK hot streak alive. Total sales for the set ended at 542 copies. Those numbers are right in line with what the other Bizarre Holidays sets were selling for back in March. Sales of the final set in the year long series were put on hold when Topps sent GPKs to timeout after a controversial BTS themed card was put up for sale. Collectors who stuck with the set through the entire year finally are now finally able to finish off their binders!

Topps Reveals Print Run for Garbage Pail Kids x ComplexCon Online Set

Topps has released a flurry of online GPK sets in recent weeks, and the sales just keep coming up solid for them. Yesterday, Topps revealed the print run for Garbage Pail Kids x ComplexCon. The set sold a total of 1,233 copies. That’s almost 200 higher than the previous Complex releases set, and once again shows GPKs are hot with another solid finishing well into four digits in sales. We will find out soon if Topps can keep the steak going with the final Bizarre Holidays set ending today.

Topps has finally updated the sales numbers for 2021 Garbage Pail Kids Oh the Horror-ible Expansion Set 2. This was the second horror themed set launched by Topps in October. The set sold a total of 1,289 copies. The sales falls about 450 + con sales short of the first expansion set. Still almost 1300 sets for a regular online release is solid sales. Topps is back on track offering a full menu of online sets in these last few months of 2021.

This set continues the work Topps started earlier this year with the online virtual show Complexland. The set contains 12 cards, 6new pieces available in a/b versions.
