Details on 82nd Philly Non-Sports Card Show

The next Philly Non-Sports Card Show is only a month away and plans are under way to honor the shows matriarch. The 82nd version of the show will serve to honor the legacy of Roxanne Toser, who had been promoting the show since 2007. The show is scheduled to take place April 5 & 6 at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center is Oaks, PA. A note to frequent show goers, the show is moving to Hall D, a slightly large hall than their usual Hall E venue.

The show will once again have a huge Garbage Pail Kids presence. The artist lineup is a star studded lineup featuring current GPK final artists, Joe Simko, David Gross, Joe McWilliams, and Neil Camera. There will be a four card set honoring Roxanne Toser at the show. Each of the featured artists created a GPK promo card for the show to honor Roxanne. The artists created the cards and had them printed at their own expense. Collectors attending the show will receive one of the promo cards at random with their paid admission. Collectors wishing to purchase the full set will be able to at the show for $10 with profits going to Historic B’nai Jacob Synagogue, something that was near and dear to Roxanne. Collectors who cannot make the show will be able to purchase the four-card set for $10 each plus shipping ($3 for 1-2 sets, $5 for 3-5 sets; maximum is 5). Be sure to include your mailing address in the comments. Card sets sold through the mail will be sold while supplies last and will not ship until after the Philly Show has concluded. So far the show has revealed the Rockin Roxanne card done by Joe Simko, and Retro Roxanne by David Gross. They plan to reveal a new each week leading up to the show.

The traditional Saturday night dinner will also take place. There will be an artist panel at the dinner lead by Simko and show promoter Harris Toser with the topic being the 40th anniversary of Garbage Pail Kids. The dinner is sure to sell out. Collectors attending will find the usual various non-sport promo cards giving away at the show including a new Wacky Packages promo card. Media guest Gary Gerani will once again be attending the show as well.

Tickets can be purchased at the door for $12 per day or a two day pass for $20. The show will be open on Sat. 4/5 from 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM and Sun. 4/6 from 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM.
