Topps is back in a big way today with the political cards. Today Topps launched Garbage Pail Kids Trumpocracy – The First 100 Days cards #84-#92. The nine cards launched is a new high for a single day political release. Today’s cards feature six GPK and three Wacky Packages cards. The cards cover the entire spectrum of political news from the last few days. Topps also released another card in the Twister series today. Each card can be purchased for $9.99 or in lots of 5 for $29.99, 10 for $49.99, or 20 for $79.99. A ten card bundle featuring one of each card can be purchased for $59.99. Free shipping is being offered via the SmartPost option. The cards will be for sale for 24 hours on topps.com. Topps will reveal the print run at the end of the sale. Topps Launches Topps Comics GPK #4 What Iz? Alternate Endings

The one online exclusive that sales has stayed strong on sales has been the Topps Comics line. Today Topps launched Topps Comics GPK #4 What Iz? The Garbage Pail Kids Alternate Endings. This edition is filled with different scenarios on what would have if things ended differently, La La Land winning the Oscar, Hillary Clinton winning the presidency, etc. The 8 page comic, like previous issues, has been written by Pat Barrett. Artwork for the comic was completed by Joe Simko, Brent Engstrom, Fred Weaton, and Pat Barrett. The comic ships with two GPK stickers, 4a – Al-cademy Comedy and 4b – Oscar La Vista. You can purchase the comic for $19.99 each or in lots of 5 for $89.99. There is no free shipping being offered, so expect at least $7+ added on for shipping. Topps Reveals Print Run for 2017 GPK The Not-Scars

After an much publicized and controversial ending to the Oscars, would that help out sales of the GPK Not-Scars set? Topps has revealed the print run for Garbage Pail Kids 2017 The Not-Scars set. This 18 card set featured eight GPK, (offered in a/b sets), and two Wacky Packages cards. The set was on sale for seven days following the end of the Oscars. Collectors were not willing to give any awards to this years set. The GPK cards all sold right around what the recent political GPK cards have been going for, in the 140-150 range. The Wackys meanwhile saw a sharp decrease compared to other sets, with both cards unable to break the 180 mark in sales. Historically entertainment sets have been tough sellers for Topps, and this set ended up being one of the lowest sales wise. Topps Reveals Print Run for GPK Trumpocracy #77-#83 & Network Spews #19

The sales numbers are out for the third straight day of political cards, and Topps saw a slight increase in sales. Today Topps revealed the print run for Garbage Pail Kids Trumpocracy – The First 100 Days cards #77-#83 and GPK Network Spews #19. Across the board sales were up slightly from the record lows set the previous day. The GPK cards for the most part finished in the 160’s, except for the Conway one which nearly reached 200. The Wacky’s also rebounded with cards in the higher 200’s in sales. After a full week of online releases it will be interesting to see how Topps follows up next week. Here are the final numbers for Thursday’s cards.

Topps Reveals Topps Reveals Print Run for GPK Trumpocracy #64-#76 & Network Spews #18

Topps was delayed a bit in releasing online print run numbers for this week’s cards. The numbers aren’t good for the first two political releases of the week. Today Topps revealed the print run for Garbage Pail Kids Trumpocracy – The First 100 Days cards #64-#76, and Network Spews card #18. Collectors did not show up to purchase this weeks cards. New record lows were set within the Trumpocracy set, as three cards broke the previous low mark. The new low is now 140 sold, with cards #71 & #73 hitting that mark. For the most part the GPK cards finished in the 140-160 range over the last two days. The Wackys were also down quite a bit, especially Wednesday’s cards. Those Wackys ended just over the 200 mark. With the third day of huge offerings from Topps today, it will be interesting to see if new lows are set once again. Here are the final print run numbers for the cards offered Tuesday/Wednesday.

Topps Reveals Print Run for Topps Comics GPK #3

Topps Comics continue to be a solid seller for Topps. Today Topps revealed the print run for Topps Comics GPK #3 The Garbage Pail Kids Guide to Surviving the Apocalypse. Topps had taken a few weeks off from producing the comics. Sales for comic #3 ended earlier this morning after being on sale for 7 days on topps.com. The latest comic focused on the various ways the apocalypse is upon us during Trump’s presidency. Total sales ended up being 291 copies. While quite a bit less than comic #2, it did outsell #1, and the sales numbers are quite higher than the Trumoocracy cards have been producing. There is no telling when the next comic will hit the website, but Topps is bound to continue the series.

The large seven cards being offered today by Topps contains five GPK cards and two Wacky Packages. Not as much Trump today, as we get cards for Obama, Hillary, and another returning OS 1 character. After the finish to the Oscars last night, you knew Topps would take advantage. For the second year in a row Topps has released an online exclusive set based on the Oscars. Today Topps launched Garbage Pail Kids The Not-Scars 2017. Of course card #1 in the set focuses on the crazy ending. The set contains eight different GPKs offered in two card a/b name sets. There are also two Wacky Packages stickers. One note it appears after first launching in early 2016, Topps has finally dropped the American as Apple Pie naming convention for the online sets. Each two card a/b set or Wacky card can be purchased for $9.99 each, or the entire 18 card set can be purchased for $49.99. Free shipping is being offered via the SmartPost option.
