Topps Reveals Print Run for GPK Disg-Race cards #75-#77

img_0324With no end in site, Topps continues to release presidential election cards are a rapid rate. Today Topps revealed print run information for Garbage Pail Kids Disg-Race to the White House cards #75-#77. Sales of the 3rd release this week were down compared to the past few releases. All three cards finished around the 300 mark. This compares to where sales numbers were prior to the election. Here is the final print run information.

Topps Launches GPK Disg-Race to the White House Cards #78-#82

Today Topps launched Garbage Pail Kids Disg-Race to the White House cards #78-#82. Today’s offering has five new cards focused on more of Trump’s transition team. Topps is trying something new with today’s cards as card #82 is a Wacky Packages card featuring Trump’s daughter. It will be interesting to see how the Wacky card is received by collectors. In a Facebook post yesterday Topps said the cards will continued to be released through at least inauguration day in January. So, expect many more Disg-Race cards to come. As usual each card can be purchased individually for $9.99 or in lots of 5 for $29.99, 10 for $49.99, or 20 for $79.99. A five card bundle featuring each card can be purchased for 34.99. Free shipping is being offered via the SmartPost option. The cards will be for sale for 24 hours. Topps said they will reveal the print run of the card after the end of the sale. Today Topps revealed print run information for Garbage Pail Kids Disg-Race to the White House cards #72-#74. This time around the cards finished right around the 400 mark with the Priebus & Butt-Head almost at 500. There are sure to be more cards on the way as Trump fleshes out his cabinet. Since the end of the election, Topps has continued a steady stream of presidential election cards, now based solely on Trump and the aftermath of the election. Today Topps revealing print run information for Garbage Pail Kid Disg-Race to the White House cards #70-#71. Despite there being no buldle option this time, collectors continued to buy cards in droves. It seems the cards are even more popular with collectors since the end of the election. The Demonstration Donald card became the 3rd highest selling card from the set. Here is the final print run information.

Two of the cards featured alternate artwork showing different election results completed by artists Joe Simko and Brent Engstrom. Despite this being the 8th release in the last twelve days, sales remain brisk. The cards all did over 400 sales, with the highest going to the Obama/Trump meeting. The big mystery now is how much longer will Topps continue to release cards based on an election that has already ended? Here is the print run information for the latest three card release.

Topps is taking advantage of the artwork that Joe Simko and Brent Engstrom already finished prior to the election. Today we get “What If?” cards of Trump and Clinton featuring the alternate election result. We also get one other card featuring Obama and Trump. As usual each cards can be purchased for $9.99 each or in lots of 5 for $29.99, 10 for $49.99, or 20 for $79.99. There is also a three card bundle available for $24.99. Topps Reveals Print Run for GPK Disg-Race Cards #64-#66

artgpk-stic-16gpkrace-0064If this is the end, Disg-Race went out with a bang! Today Topps revealed print run information for Garbage Pail Kids Disg-Race to the White House cards #64-#66. Collectors once again voted with their wallets on the winning/losing presidential election cards. As has been the case throughout the online exclusives, the Donald Trump cards lead the way with a whopping 729 and 566. Those two cards become the 2nd and 3rd highest selling cards of the series, right after the first card in the set. The card featuring Hillary Clinton moving to Canada came in with 496. There have been conflicting reports on wether the set is finished. While artist Joe Simko mentioned this was the last batch of Disg-Race cards, Topps has only hinted that the end was near for the set. Meanwhile artist Brent Engstrom was busy painted cards live on Facebook last night. At the very least I expect Topps to do something around inauguration day in January, which also just happens to be the release of the next retail set 2017 GPK Adam-Geddon.
