Topps Reveals Print Run for GPK Trumpocracy #14 & Network Spews #60-#63

It took a few extra days, but we finally have the sales numbers for last Wednesday and Thursday’s online exclusives, including one controversial card. Today Topps revealed the print runs for Garbage Pail Kids Trumpocracy 2017 #14 and GPK Network Spews #60, #62-#63. Perhaps not so shocking is a new record low was set for GPK online exclusives. Network Spews card #60 only sold 76 copies. This is the first card to finish under 100 copies sold. The card caused much controversy among GPK collectors this week, as many collectors questioned the quality of both the gag and the art. The artist of the card, which appears to have been digitally created, has not be revealed. Clearly, sales of the card were affected, as the card sold over 30 less than the previous record low. The news for the other GPK cards was still not great, as sales continue to lag. Here are how the sales ended up for the cards offered last Wednesday and Thursday.

GPK Network Spews

Topps is also offering one Wacky Packages card under the Network Spews set today. In the first two days of offers there have actually been more GPK cards than Wacky Packages offered. The slumping sales of the Wacky’s might be leading to a change back to focusing on GPK cards. Each of today’s cards can be purchased for $9.99 or in lots of 5 for $29.99, 10 for $49.99, or 20 for $79.99. A three card bundle featuring one of each card is available for $24.99. Topps Reveals Print Run for GPK Network Spews #58

The only GPK online exclusive this week, proved to be the lone bright spot for Topps. Today Topps revealed the print run for Garbage Pail Kids Network Spews card #58. The card, offered this past Wednesday, was the only GPK card offered during the two days of online releases. The card also marked the debut final painting for artist Simone Arena. Sales were solid for the card, finishing with 185. While still low that easily topped all recent sales for the last two weeks. Online exclusives have taken a huge downward turn, especially with the Wack Packages. All the other Wacky’s launched this week, ended in the low 100’s, continuing a trend that started last week. It will be interesting to see how the low sales figures into how Topps will continue with the online releases.

Topps Launches GPK Network Spews Card #58

Amid all the excitement this morning with the announcement of the next GPK set, Topps slipped in their latest online exclusives. With sales being very poor last week Topps decided to change things up a tiny bit. Today Topps launched Garbage Pail Kids GPK Network Spews card #58. The artist for the GPK card is Simone Arena, this is his first final after previously only doing sketch cards. After being Wacky Packages only for weeks, Topps is starting to mix and match again. They also released three new Trumpocracy cards, but this time they are all Wacky Packages. Each of today’s cards can be purchased for $9.99 or in lots of 5 for $29.99, 10 for $49.99, or 20 for $79.99. A four card bundle featuring one of each card is available for $29.99. Topps Reveals Print Run for GPK Trumpocracy #1-#4 & Network Spews #51-#52

Topps waited until the end of the week to reveal the print runs for their online exclusives, and the news isn’t good. Last night Topps revealed the print runs for Garbage Pail Kids Trumpocracy 2017 cards #1-#4, and GPK Network Spews #51-#52. The news started out good for Topps as card #1 of any set always sells well, and the new Trumpocracy set was no exception. Card #1 blew everything away doing sales of 346. From there things started going downhill. Wednesday’s GPK cards saw sales back down in the mid 100’s. The bad news came with Thursday’s release of Network Spews cards. Sales hit rock bottom. Both GPK cards broke the record for lowest in sales, and not by a little bit. The new lowest is card #51 with only 112 in sales. Perhaps more worrisome for Topps is the sales of Wacky Packages. Thursday’s Network Spews Wacky bottomed out with three actually ended in double digits. Was Thursday a one off in sales? Or have a large number of collectors buying these stopped? It will be very interesting to see what if offered and the sales next week. Here are how the sales came out for the week.

GPK Trumpocracy
#1 – 100 Days Donald – 346
#2 – Divertin Donald – 147
#3 – Tough Cookie Trump – 151

Free shipping in the US is being offered via the SmartPost method, while international shipping is $10. The cards will be available on topps.com for 24 hours. Topps will reveal the print run at the end of the sale. Here are pictures of today’s new GPK cards.

Topps Reveals Print Run for GPK Trumpocracy #156-#166 & Network Spews #44-#46

With a slight delay Topps revealed the print run for the last two days of online exclusives, and once again one of the few GPK cards led the way. Today Topps revealed the print run for Garbage Pail Kids Trumpocracy – The First 100 Days cards #156-#166, and Network Spews #44-#46. With Topps putting out mostly Wacky Packages cards as part of their online exclusives recently a new trend has taken hold. The GPK cards are selling just as well and in many cases now lead the daily sales results. This happen again as Trumpocracy #157 led the way with 256 in sales. The Wacky’s meanwhile for the most part staying in the 170-220 range again. With the Wacky Packages it is starting to appear cards by certain artists are selling more than others on a consistent basis. The big question now, is this the end of the Trumpocracy set? President Trump’s 100th day in office is tomorrow. There has been no word from Topps yet on how they will handle the online exclusive cards next week. Here are how the final numbers ended up for the last two days of cards.

Topps Reveals Print Run for GPK Trumpocracy #155 & Network Spews #40-#43

A GPK card leads the way in sales results. Today Topps revealed the print run for Garbage Pail Kids Trumpocracy – The First 100 Years card #155, and Network Spews #40-#43. A few weeks back Topps made a change to focus on more Wacky Packages, instead of GPK as part of the online exclusive releases. At the time Wacky Packages sold significantly more copies than their GPK counterparts. The trend now appears to be changing. The lone GPK card from Tuesday’s release led the way in sales with 236 copies. The Wacky’s were all over the place in sales in the 170-220 range. Was the change in sales because of the artwork? Was it because the GPK card was the only Trumpocracy card, while the others were Network Spews? Or is it just simply Wacky collectors tiring of the increase of online cards? How Topps decides to change up online offers after Trump hits 100 days will be interesting to see. Here are how the sales numbers came out for Tuesday’s cards.
