Fright Rags will return this week to the GPK licensing game with a brand new clothing collection. One of the first GPK licensees has been good for about one release per year. The new release includes shirts, socks, and pants. First up are three new t-shirts with artwork done by Brent Engstrom. Obey Ray, Camp Crystal Jake, and Balloon-a-Graham all feature previously released artwork. They will also offer a pair of Adam Bomb socks done by artist Matthew Skiff, and a pair of lounge pants designed by Kyle Crawford. All items will go on sale this Wednesday at 10:00 AM EST.
In an e-mail previewing its new items for August, Fright Rags announced three new Garbage Pail Kids t-shirts. Set to launch next Friday, 8/9 at 10:00AM Eastern Time, the shirts feature some brand new artwork from GPK artist Brent Engstrom. Rick Axe, Killer Killian, and Hit and Ron all feature new horror themed artwork that will also be appearing in the upcoming 2019S2 GPK Revenge of Oh the Horror-ible set. Fright Rags is not new to the Garbage Pail Kids scene. They have a history of offering GPK themed shirts in the past. Their last offering was in 2015. Today on their Instagram account Fright Rags teased four new shirts. The four shirts feature brand new officially licensed artwork done by artist Brent Engstrom. Brent has also done art on previous Fright Rags offerings. All shirts also feature the Garbage Pail Kids banner along with a name plate at the bottom. No other information has been revealed from Fright Rags as to pricing, pre-orders, or release date. As of right now the horror themed GPK artwork on the shirts is not scheduled to be featured in the upcoming GPK Oh the Horror-ible set. Of course down the line Topps could change their tune and offer the artwork as cards.
Fright-rags.com will be offering pre-orders on their next batch of shirts. The shirts feature officially licensed art drawn by Garbage Pail Kids artist Brent Engstrom. If I’m not mistaken this is the sec don batch of GPK shirts Fright Rags has done. If you are interested pre-orders start on May 27th right here.
