PremiumDNA Unveils New Garbage Pail Kids Figures at New York Toy Fair

PremiumDNA has unveiled their new line of highly detailed Garbage Pail Kids figures. Their booth at this year’s New York Toy Fair is showing off prototypes of their upcoming GPK lines. This is the same company that launched Madballs vs. GPK figures back in early 2022.

Wave 1 of the GPK figures include Nasty Nick, Nat Nerd, Tattoo Lou, and Mean Gene. All figures come with various accessories that can be swapped out, so collectors can make their own displays. Some accessories not pictured include; Nat Nerd having two additional stacks of comics, Mean Gene includes a broken bottle, stray bullets, and camo pants, Nasty Nick includes a soft good cape that can be posed like the card art, and his lady friend includes glasses. Each figure is cross compatible and contain the same articulation as the Madballs vs. GPK line and the accessories can be swapped between them. Sadly, there will not be cards that come with these figures. Pre-orders will begin next Saturday, 10/7/23, on PremiumDNA’s website. In addition to the “A” name, there will be limited to /250 “B” names available to order.

The company is also showing off their upcoming Madballs Vs GPK: Twisted DNA CollectiBALLS line. These highly detailed painted foam balls bring collectors something that closely resembles the original Madballs. Characters on display at their booth include; New Wave Dave, Acne Amy, Drew Blood, Slobulus, Lock Lips, and Dust Brain. The CollectiBALLS line is set to go on preorder in Q1 2024.

No pricing or shipping estimates were available yet from the company. Collectors should be aware the first line of Madballs vs. GPK characters still haven’t shipped from the company. The company currently shows a Q4 2023 estimated shipping date. Keep that in mind when placing orders for these new figures.

GetAGrip Launches Garbage Pail Kids Horror Artist Signature Skateboard

GetAGrip is back to combine a couple of GPK collectors favorite things. Today the company launched the Garbage Pail Kids Horror Artist Signature Series skateboard decks. This release is similar to the company’s release earlier this year featuring five different blind bagged skateboard decks from five different artists. This time the decks are ready for the fall season with some of the best horror themed GPK artwork. Each deck comes with an autographed companion card. The five artists represented are David Gross, Joe Simko, Brent Engstrom, Tom Bunk, and John Pound. For the second time this year the company was able to get Pound to sign cards for the release. Each deck is limited and numbered to /75. The company did a slow reveal all week long, revealing the final deck just mins before the release. The decks can be purchased on GetAGrip’s website for $189.99 each. You’ll want to be fast, these will sell out quickly.

Flix Candy Launching Garbage Pail Kids Pop Ups!

A new entry in the GPK licensing world is about to make its entry, and it will feed your sweet tooth! Flix Candy is launching Garbage Pail Kids Pop Ups! These lollipop candies come in three different character holders; Adam Bomb, Leaky Lindsay, and New Wave Dave. Each package comes with three Chupa Chups lollipops that can be inserted into the character holder when eating. While it appears some of these are out now, the company tells GPKNews that they are set to hit retail stores in October. Each package should cost between $4.99-$6.99. Collectors will be able to find these at Five Below stores in the United States. It won’t be long until collectors can get their next sugar fix!

Pre-Orders Start for Greenlight Garbage Pail Kids Series 6 Die-Cast Cars

Series 5 isn’t out yet, but that isn’t stopping Greenlight Collectibles from working on the their next GPK car series. Preorders have begun for Garbage Pail Kids Series 6 die cast cars. There will once again be six cars in the series. GPKWorld was first to report on the upcoming launch. 3000toys.com first listed the series for presale a couple of weeks ago. So far the company has only announced 5 cars, the 6th car that usually features a Greenlight employee turned into a GPK is listed as TBD. Each car will continue to come with an associated trading card. There will once again be the chase for the Green Machine limited parallels. The company also shared mockup images of the cars this week. Here are the five announced cars so far with their card name.

  • Poppy Fiction – 1964 Chevrolet Chevelle Convertible
  • Dazed David – 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle
  • Mail Munch Mitch – 1970 Jeep DJ-5

Each car can be preorder for the MSRP of $6.99. This 6th series of die cast GPK cars are set to launch Feb-Mar 2024.

Garbage Pail Kids Prints to be Available at Official NYCC Store

This year’s New York Comic Con is just a few weeks away, and the Garbage Pail Kids offerings are starting to surface. Once again the official NYCC store at the con will feature two prints from long time GPK artist Joe Simko. Both fluorescent blacklight posters measure 18” x 24”. The prints will be numbered and limited. GPKWorld is also reporting there is an NYCC GPK t-shirt featuring some of the same artwork that will also be available at the show. NYCC is set to take place Oct 12-15 at the Javits Center in New York City, NY.

Dynamite Announces Garbage Pail Kids Trashin Through Time Issue #3

The Garbage Pail Kids continue their ascent through history in the newest comic release. Dynamite Comics has announced Garbage Pail Kids Trashin’ Through Time Issue #3. Once again, the comic was written by Adam F Goldberg and Hans Rodionoff with artwork by Jeff Zapata and Chris Meeks. The description of this issue reads, “In this issue, Adam Bomb leads a daring raid on the Topps Gum Headquarters. Then, with a stale gum machine in tow, the GPKommandos head back in time to Romania in the 1800s, where we are treated to the origin story of Nasty Nick! You don’t want to miss it!” Cover variations for this issue include covers by Jeff Zapata, Tom Bunk, Lowell Isaac, and a forth classic GPK card which image. Each of the four main covers will come ploybagged with an exclusive trading card. The newest issue will be available for preorder soon wherever comics are sold. GPK Trashin’ Through Time Issue #3 is set to hit store shelves 12/20/23.

Monogram to Debut Garbage Pail Bag Clips Series 3 at New York Toy Fair

Your backpacks are about to get a new round of GPK accessories! Monogram International is set to continue their GPK license with Topps and will be unveiling their Series 3 Garbage Pail Kids Figural Bag Clips at this year’s New York Toy Fair. The NYTF is scheduled to take place from 9/30 – 10/3 at the Javits Center in New York, NY. The company has shared pictures of the series 3 blind bag bag clips with GPKNews. Many popular characters are featured including Nasty Nick, Potty Scotty, Weird Wendy, Joe Blow, and Grim Jim. It total it appears there are 11 new bag clips to collect, with card versions of Dizzy Dave and Pat Splat being rare inserts. Among many products on display, the company will have their recently released Adam Bomb Bank ($24.99-$29.99), Adam Bomb Magnet ($5.99), and Series 1-3 of the GPK Blind Bag bag clips ($6.99). All GPK items on display, including the Series 3 bag clips, will be available to purchase at Monogram’s booth, (third floor #265). This will be the first place to purchase the Series 3 blind bags before they are released later this year in stores. You’ll have to be an toy industry professional to attend the trade show, but collectors might see these in the wild very soon!

GPKNation Launching Interactive 3-Piece Adam Bomb Coin

GPKNation is back with its first GPK launch in six months. The company is launching a three piece interactive Adam Bomb fully licensed Garbage Pail Kids coin. The coin has a removable front and back. The first color to launch will be copper plated. The company plans on launching additional colors in the coming weeks. Collectors can mix and match to create their own individual coins. GetAGrip Launches Two New Garbage Pail Kids Neon Signs

GetAGrip is not just skateboards. The company today launched two new Garbage Pail Kids themed neon signs. The first is a neon OS1 pack sign. The neon is around the frame of this 12” x 16” sign. The sign is limited to 100 copies and can be purchased for $189. The second sign is the Mike Air Neon sign. This sign features GPK artwork on Michael Jordan. The neon also surrounds this sign that measures 12” z 18”. The sign is also limited to 100 copies and can be purchased for $250. Both signs are available now from GetAGrips’ website. Collectors have even more options for their collector cave now!

GPK Nation Set to Return with Strahan Coins & Cards

GPK Nation is back with Garbage Pail Kids officially licensed merchandise. The company announced last night their new Certified Gross line that will debut with a GPK themed Michael Strahan challenge coin and card. Artwork for the Strahan was done by Neil Camera. The company said there will be four different foil versions, including rainbow. They will also be gold foil numbered. For the first time the coin will come with a licensed GPK card. Strahan will also be autographing inserts. The video below shows prototype versions of the coin and card, but the final card will have the GPK banner. The coins and cards are in production now, they expect to launch within 1-2 months. The company recently renewed their license deal with Topps. They also have hired former Topps Editor-in-Chief Chris Vaccaro to lead development for future coins.
