PremiumDNA Unveils New Garbage Pail Kids Figures at New York Toy Fair

PremiumDNA has unveiled their new line of highly detailed Garbage Pail Kids figures. Their booth at this year’s New York Toy Fair is showing off prototypes of their upcoming GPK lines. This is the same company that launched Madballs vs. GPK figures back in early 2022.

Wave 1 of the GPK figures include Nasty Nick, Nat Nerd, Tattoo Lou, and Mean Gene. All figures come with various accessories that can be swapped out, so collectors can make their own displays. Some accessories not pictured include; Nat Nerd having two additional stacks of comics, Mean Gene includes a broken bottle, stray bullets, and camo pants, Nasty Nick includes a soft good cape that can be posed like the card art, and his lady friend includes glasses. Each figure is cross compatible and contain the same articulation as the Madballs vs. GPK line and the accessories can be swapped between them. Sadly, there will not be cards that come with these figures. Pre-orders will begin next Saturday, 10/7/23, on PremiumDNA’s website. In addition to the “A” name, there will be limited to /250 “B” names available to order.

The company is also showing off their upcoming Madballs Vs GPK: Twisted DNA CollectiBALLS line. These highly detailed painted foam balls bring collectors something that closely resembles the original Madballs. Characters on display at their booth include; New Wave Dave, Acne Amy, Drew Blood, Slobulus, Lock Lips, and Dust Brain. The CollectiBALLS line is set to go on preorder in Q1 2024.

No pricing or shipping estimates were available yet from the company. Collectors should be aware the first line of Madballs vs. GPK characters still haven’t shipped from the company. The company currently shows a Q4 2023 estimated shipping date. Keep that in mind when placing orders for these new figures.

Get Your GPK vs. Madballs for Free Comic Book Day

As GPKNews first shared with collectors last year, collectors will have the chance to get a free GPK vs. Madballs comic book this weekend! The reprinted book is part of the yearly national Free Comic Book Day. Many comic stores around the country will have this comic, along with many others available for free to customers tomorrow, May 6th. Dynamite Announces Madballs vs. Garbage Pail Kids Slime Again Issue #4

The story of how GPKs and Madballs first met comes to an end. Dynamite has announced Madballs vs. Garbage Pail Kids Slime Again Issue #4. This is the final issue in the limited run series. The preview for the issue reads, “The space race is on-in a flurry of slingshots, fireworks, and giant bat wings, as the Madballs and GPK take to the skies in a mad dash to beat each other to the Moon! Plus: In the far future, Earth is a high- tech utopia where peace reigns and everything is in its place. That is, until archaeologists uncover the still-feuding Madballs and GPK-who bring a much-needed bit of anarchy to an all-too-quiet-and-predictable world.” The comic is written by Sholly Frisch, with all the artwork done by Jason Crosby. As with the other issues, there are covers by Joe Simko, Crosby, and a vintage fight poster by Ken Haeser. There will be a number of other cover variants offered for the issue. The comic is available for preorder whoever comics are sold. The final issue of the series is set to his store shelves May 10, 2023.

Madballs vs. Garbage Pail Kids to be Part of 2023 National Free Comic Book Day

The Madballs vs. Garbage Pail Kids comic book series from Dynamite Comics has been chosen to be part of the 2023 National Free Comic Book Day. A special comic featuring a collection of stories from the first Madballs vs GPK series will be offered for free in comic book stores across the country. The popular promotion is scheduled to take place on May 6, 2023.

Dynamite Comics Announces Madballs vs Garbage Pail Kids Slime Again Issue #1

The partnership between Garbage Pail Kids and Madballs will continue in the comics. Dynamite Comics announced Madballs vs. Garbage Pail Kids Slime Again Issue #1. This will be the second limited comic series to feature the two iconic 80’s brands together. This time the story will tell the origins of the their feud through the history of time. The preview for this issue reads, “In this issue: At the dawn of time, the Earth is ruled by furry, apelike beasts – oh, wait, that’s just Kim Kong!  From their neighboring caves, the Cro-Madballs and Neanderthal Pail Kids constantly try to one-up each other! Plus: the star-crossed crush between Hornhead and Scary Carrie triggers war between the Trojan GPK and Greek Madballs!” Jason Crosby returns as the artist of the comics, along with writer Sholly Fisch. So far there are announced covers from Joe Simko, Jason Crosby, and a vintage fight poster cover. There are sure to be many move limited covers announced. The comic will be available to preorder soon wherever comics are sold. Issue #1 is set to his store shelves on Feb. 15, 2023.

More Madballs vs. Garbage Pail Kids Comic Variants Coming Soon

As the release date for Dynamite’s Madballs vs. Garbage Pail Kids comic approaches, more and more variants of issue #1 are revealed. Dynamite is holding their first NTWRK show 7/7/22 at 3:00 PM EST. Among others comics, they will show off some of the new Madballs vs. GPK comic book series. The show can be viewed on the NTWRK mobile app. They are advertising two new variants, the Ashcan Retailer version, and the Ashcan NTWRK Premiere version. Both versions will be available for preordering on the NTWRK app during their show tomorrow.

There have also been a number of comic book store exclusive variants to surface the past couple of weeks. Variants can be ordered from; Gotham City Comics, Ken Salines Variant, Alan Quah Homage, Easton Hawk Variant, Juan Navarro Variant, Juan Navarro Virgin Variant, These are all in addition to the 16 various variants available wherever comics are sold. More Details on GPK vs. Madballs Figures Preorder

PremiumDNA is all set for tomorrow’s preorder for their Garbage Pail Kids vs. Madballs figures.  There will be four 2-packs available for sale. Each pack contains a 6” GPK figure and a Madballs rival figure. In addition each pack comes with various accessories that can be swapped onto any of the figures so collectors can create their own custom battles.

The preorder begins Saturday, 1/29/22 at 10:00 AM EST on the PremiumDNA.toys website. The first 1500 orders will received an exclusive 4 card pack depicting battle scenes with each character. The artwork on the cards was done by GPK artist Joe Simko. Limited edition “b-card” 2 packs will also be available for preorder tomorrow. The b-card packs are exclusive to PremiumDNA and will be limited to 250 copies. The company tells GPKNews that the preorder window will remain open long enough so collectors have plenty of time to get their orders in. The regular figures will also be offered at other online retail outlets at some point. Each 2-pack will be priced at $79.99. All figures are currently planned to ship in the first quarter of 2023. PremiumDNA Set to Launch GPK x Madballs Toys

In January of last year, Topps and Cloudco announced a collaboration pitting the Garbage Pail Kids vs. Madballs. Now, just over a year later, the toys associated with the collaboration  are set to launch. PremiumDNA and Topps announced today the upcoming preorder for Madballs vs. GPK toys. There will be four different 2-toy packs available for purchase. Each toy pack comes with one classic GPK character and one Madballs character. The toys stand 6 inches tall and all come with swappable parts to create different creations. The toys will also come with battle panels, accessories, and additional hands. Premium DNA is also advertising that the first 1500 orders will come with a set of 4 Madballs Vs GPK trading card stickers that correspond with the 2 pack lineups. Artwork on the cards was done by GPK artist Joe Simko. The toys are set to go on sale at PremiumDNA.toys on 1/29/22 at 10:00 AM EST. Be sure to set your alarms!

Chalkline Launching Garbage Pail Kids x Madballs Collection

The year long collaboration between Garbage Pail Kids and Madballs continues with a new clothing line. Chalkline is set to launch their GPK x Madballs collection tomorrow via their website. The company will be launching two new jackets and two new shorts. All items feature characters from both brands doing battle. While the collaboration hasn’t brought collectors cards or figures yet, a number of associated items have been released this year. The clothing collection will release tomorrow, 9/23, at 12:00 EST.

Mishka NYC launches GPK x Madballs Clothing & Blanket

Today Mishka NYC launched a line of clothes and a blanket based on the Garbage Pail Kids x Madballs crossover. Mishka launched a number of new products after their initial t-shirt launch a few months ago. This time all the products are available on their website. First up in a 70 x 50 inch fleece blanket featuring the same Joe Simko monster box artwork that was on the t-shirt. The blanket is available for $40. The same monster box artwork is also available on a hoodie ($75) and a long sleeve shirt ($45). Two new print shirts, “Headlick” and “All Over” are also available for $49.99 each. All artwork for the shirts were also done by Joe Simko.
