FYE is back with the latest GPK consumable. FYE stores today begun selling Garbage Pail Kids Cereal Bars. The packaging advertises them as Crazy Crisps with Marshmellow Barf Bits. Retail price in the store is $7.99. Thanks to Collector Brad Lenheim who was first to spot these in the wild. The bars look very much like the cereal launched last year. Most likely you will be able to find these in stores across the country and online soon.
Yesterday was National Hot Sauce day. FYE is taking that to heart with their announcement that Garbage Pail Kids hot sauces will be coming soon. The sauces were first announced on their blog, but now are also showing up on their online store as coming soon. For $5.99 a bottle, collectors can get their hands on Hot Scott’s Infernal Fire or Adam Bomb’s Nuclear Meltdown sauces. There will also be Nasty Nick’s Mouth-Impaler Garlic and Fryin Ryan’s Tongue-Destroyer flavors available as well. While there is no release date announced these should be available shortly giving they are already listed in the online store.
Not to be left out, FYE themselves issues yet another Garbage Pail Kids promo today at their booth. Using the art from their cereal boxes released earlier in the year, the promo features Crispy Christy. The back of the card identifies it as a NYCC 2019 promo card. The card is being handed out at the FYE booth today during Joe Simko’s autograph signing. There continues to be surprises at NYCC for GPK collectors.
With this years New York Comic Con just a couple of days away, Topps has been quiet about what they will have in store at the show. Today via his Facebook page, Garbage Pail Kids artist Joe Simko showed two cards that will be part of the GPK Takes Over NYC set. Joe Simko painted 11 new pieces for the set. There will be an “A” names set, a “B” names set, and a “C” names set featuring New York themed names. The cost for the set is currently unknown. Topps has also announced the set on their blog. They mention the purchase of the set will include a special bonus card, while supplies last. Topps also mentions there will be a GPK promo card available Saturday at the show.
Joe Simko will also be all over NYCC signing autographs are different booths. He is scheduled at the GeekiTiki booth #2164 on Friday from 1:00-3:00. Then he will head over to Topps booth, #454, to sign autos from 4:00-5:00. Finally on Saturday he will be at the FYE boot, #622, to sign some cereal boxes.
With San Diego Comic Con in full gear, the second Garbage Pail Kids Promo card for the show has surfaced. Thanks to eBay a couple of sellers have posted the card, a reprint of Adam Bomb. The back of the card identifies it as a con promo with both a Topps and FYE logo. Pound is scheduled to sign autographs at the FYE booth Friday. Barring any other weekend surprises this looks to be the final SDCC GPK promo card.
Thanks to eBay the first exclusive San Diego Comic Con Garbage Pail Kids promo card has surfaced. This one is a GPK Cereal Card named Barf Bit Betty. The art is the same art used on the 3f card from the FYE GPK cereal, but this time there is a character name. Joe Simko is being advertised to be signing promo cards at both the FYE store and the FYE booth at SDCC. I’m guessing this is one of the cards being given out. This of course brings up the question, do promos exist for all 4 cereal cards? There is also a John Pound promo card being advertised that hasn’t surfaced yet. I’ll update this post as more SDCC promo cards surface.

After their launch of a Garbage Pail Kids themed energy drink a few weeks ago, FYE has bigger things in store. Details have slowly been coming out over the past few days regarding a number of new items FYE is planning on officially launching on Monday. Officially licensed cereal, candy bars, and a new t-shirt are the latest items that have surfaced. Fans can expect to find these items in FYE stores and online at FYE.com beginning Monday, 5/13.
Garbage Pail Kids Cereal
Collectors will find all new artwork surrounding the entire box from GPK artist Joe Simko. While Adam Bomb is the highlighted character, numerous characters can be found on all the panels. The back of the box even features some games like many children’s cereal boxes do. Advertised as “Crazy Crisps with Marshmallow Barf Bits”, the cereal looks like pink Rice Krispies with some Lucky Charms marshmallows mixed in. The box also advertised 2 trading cards inside. Each box comes with two different stickers. There are a total of 4 stickers in the set. Each card features a different classic character with their cereal. There are no nameplates on the fronts, however the cards are numbered 1f-4f. Both the Topps logo and the FYE logo also appear on the fronts. The backs of the cards when combined form a puzzle of the main front box artwork. Some collectors have found boxes in their FYE stores already. Many have to ask a manager to sell it to them early. Collectors are saying each box of cereal is $12 in store. Thanks to GPK collector Joshua Taylor for the pictures. Check out the end of the article for pictures of the cards, and all box panels.
Garbage Pail Kids Candy
Also launching on Monday are two GPK candy bars. The Blasted Bar which is advertised as a cherry flavored poping candy milk chocolate bar features Adam Bomb artwork. The candy itself is chocolate with candies mixed in. The Leaky Bar is a green citrus frosting filled white chocolate bar. This one is a green colored white chocolate, hollow inside, and filled with a green frosting. As with the cereal some FYE stores have the candy bars available early. The bars retail for $2.99 in the store. Thanks for Steve Sodergren for the candy pictures.
Garbage Pail Kids T-shirt
A new licensed t-shit featuring brand new artwork by Joe Simko will also be launching soon. This light blue t-shirt is again highlighted by Adam Bomb, but features some other classic characters. The shirt will be available is sizes S-2XL and will retail for $21.99. There is a link on fye.com for the shirt already, and the 2XL size is available to order early. FYE stores should also be getting the shirts beginning next week.
FYE isn’t stopping at just energy drinks. Coming off their launch this week of Adam Bomb energy drinks, the entertainment chain is planning on more officially licensed food related Garbage Pail Kids launches. According to the @fyekandy Instagram account there will be GPK themed candy bars and cereal coming soon to FYE stores. GeePeeKay was first to report the news on their Facebook page. The cereal features a number of characters on the box led by Adam Bomb, and promises crazy crisps and marshmallow barf bites. Each box says it contains two exclusive trading cards. Another picture on the instagram page shows the cards as being Adam Bomb and Ghastly Ashley in cereal themed artwork. Veteran GPK artist Joe Simko completed the artwork for the box and cards. There looks to also be two fruit flavored chocolate bars coming. One is a Blasted Bar featuring Adam Bomb, while another is the Leaky Bar, with of course Leaky Linsday. The new items should be hitting FYE stores sometime in May.
